switching strat map banner symbols

There are a ton of tutorials on how to edit the design of a banner, but how does one go about just switching the banner to another factions? Lets say I want to use the Saxon symbol in place of the triskelion sicily uses. How would I go about switching that on the stack's banner?

It seems I can change the banner everywhere but there.

This may be completely wrong since I don't do modelling, but on the small chance that this is right, you can have a look at the descr_sm_factions.txt
It has several lines with faction symbol and color.

I'm familiar with using the descr_sm_factions file to modify how the ribbons on the screen appear and how they appear under the diplomacy tab and such, but I can't seem to change the faction icon on the banners the units carry. I cannot seem to locate a line that would indicate which symbol is chosen.
