That happened to me too, very few events showed up and none of them had to do with the Mongol Invasion, but I thought it was only for Muslim factions?

It depends on many things.
Like what timescale your descr_strat is set at and what your descr_events was modded to.
Those two basically control all events (well campaign_script does to some extent too, but those would be extra modded/scripted ones)
Want gunpowder, mongols, and timurids to appear when YOU do?
