Fixed it, and another one of my oversights in the process. When it comes to editing existing work I always end up somehow creating a paradoxical and self-contradictory mess. I feel a little short of words - not having the suffix "the Idiot" on the end of my user name anymore prevents me from twice repeating the phrase "look at the username".Originally Posted by FactionHeir

Back to topic - sign-ups will close in 24-hrs. I doubt anymore players are going to wish to participate - the rate of sign-ups has slowed down to a standstill.

Sign-ups are now closed. PMs will be distributed over the next four hours. A small interruption may slow me down at some point. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Day I Prologue
The wisemen were awoken by a deadly throwing axe embedding itself inside the wooden walls of the hut. After a few moments of moving sleep from weary eyes, everybody was fully awake, around the stinging smoke of the open fire, and, as they munched on their breakfast of half rotten/semi-raw pigs flesh, had begun preparing for the first day of removing these wretched impostors.
****Day I and the game begins! With sixteen players alive, it take five votes to be placed upon one player for a lynch to occur. Likewise it takes five votes to be placed upon the no lynch option for no lynch to occur.
If no decision has been made using the above rules by 17:00 (GMT) on Saturday 3rd of February 2007, then the player with the number of votes closest to the majority will be lynched.
Good luck to all!

Random-rific! Plus you voted before the day started![]()
Vote: Glenn
What with all the random voting, I figured somebody better vote for someone who's actually guilty...
Hey Glenn, you seem a bit new 'round these parts. How about introducing yourself? Tell us a bit about yourself; say, would you rather marry an ugly billionaire or a hot poor person?

It is better to conquer yourself than to win a thousand battles. Then, the victory is yours. It cannot be taken from you, not by angels or by demons, heaven or hell.

I agree with Andres, time to put some real pressure on someone - enough of these random votes.

I don't necessarily want him dead; I want him to talk.Originally Posted by Andres
Everyone's voting randomly; this makes it easy for the mafia because a) they can easily toss out random votes as well without suspicion, b) they don't have to respond to or defend themselves against random votes, and c) the person lynched is random.
I'd rather have someone - anyone - say something useful. There's obviously no real evidence against TS, but he can still help by telling us why he should not be lynched. Does he have a strategy for identifying the mafia that is useful to the town? Will he be actively involved in helping the town, or does he plan on lurking? These are the sorts of questions I'd like to see everyone answer; now that TS has 3 votes against him, there's some pressure on him to do so.

Why don't you help us by telling us why you should not be lynched? Or do you need pressure to do so?Originally Posted by Kommodus

Very well. I should not be lynched early in the game because 1) I can use Holmes as well as my experience to help find the mafia and 2) I'll be an active contributor. When we get to mid- or late-game, of course, you should lynch me if you find me suspicious.Originally Posted by Andres
