    Default Diplomacy Online

    Diplomacy Online Competition.

Has anyone ever played the old Avalon Hill board game called Diplomacy? It's basically a simplified Medieval Total War. It takes place in pre WW1 Europe, with seven players becoming the rulers of different great powers and duking it out. It's all about forming alliances, betrayals, selling information, and eventually winning complete dominance.

Here are some videos to help you understand the rules:

What I'm suggesting is playing the version online, about one turn a day, and seeing how TWC's and the .Orgs best and brightest can work their way to the top.

We'll play on the website: playdiplomacy.com, so if you're interested, head over and sign up.

Post if your interested and which country you would like to play as:
    Players so far.

    England:
    France: Feliks
    Italy:
    Germany: Estlander
    Austria: Glenn

We tried it a few times, but couldn't get players to commit. I was a replacement England last time we tried it here.

I tried to play this game once, the boardgame.
There was an old version sitting in a classroom, back before I left school, and I brought it up while in Maths, unpacked it and proceeded to play.

    There were no instructions.

It looked so inviting! So brilliant, but I never got to play it properly, and I was reprimanded by the teacher - who I ignored.

Perfect for people who like Total War games.

Okay, the game is set up.

First you need to register at the site playdiplomacy, then go to the "Joinable Games" tab.

The title of the game is: TWC
    The Password is: girlscout

Wouldn't mind if it kicks off after capo finishes.

If capo is still going, put me in as a back-up in case of dropouts.

Its a pretty simple game really, read the help section to get a basic understanding. Remember, no agreement is binding, no matter what.

We just need everyone to confirm, then well get started.
