This has been happening for a while. I think it usually occurs when there is a image embedded in the sig.

quotes in sig usually do this..
I believe there was an issue a while back with the smile area to the right of posts being misaligned on Mozilla browsers. I'm not too sure, but this may be related if IE/Opera users aren't having the same problems in pages.
If in need of a temporary solution, you can disable signature in your UserCP at the top of the "Thread Display Options" section. I've had them disabled for quite some time - I find that moving through threads without them is much easier due to a lower level of visual distractions.

So with that I'm tempted to say the problem occurs with quotes as well.
Here is a screenie with no quotes in the sig, just an image:

It occurs with mine as well when I edit a post. My sig overlaps the edit line. I will demonstrate by editing this post.
I have tried to fix this by moving text to the side of the main picture, but I cannot find any way to do this with the forum code.

That is odd. I don't have a problem with it at all, using IE7 on XP.

Hello,
It depends on the browser and resolution/size of browser window used. It will be looked at.

I use IE 6, never encountered such a problem.

That's the problem with browser Andres, you had that years ago and there still are issues.
The smileybox in the full reply for example, stretches beyond the outer border in Opera, but it will fix after F5. I've never seen that when using IE.
Dividing spaces look good in IE, but different in Opera. There's code in the templates to provide different instructions to different browsers in order to get an identical effect, but this doesn't always work, nor is it always there.

If this info helps, I use Firefox 2.0.0.12 and am running in 1680 x 1050.
Doesn't do that here.Originally Posted by TosaInu

I get roughly the same image, using Opera. It seems to be Firefox users or users using larger than average font that this is happening to.Originally Posted by Quirinus

I get this problem in Firefox running under Linux but not in windows. It's down to the font size (Linux uses different fonts). drone in particular has scaled up the fonts in his Firefox under windows, which causes the same problem. The default size is ok.

Not that big, when viewed at 1600x1200 on a 19" CRT. It's a bigger font than what I use in code windows, but those are straight white text, black background. I spend way too much time on the Org, I don't want to strain my eyes.Originally Posted by Tom0

Okay, now I'm problems with this as well (since I began using Mozilla Firefox).
So changing the font size should work? If so, how do I change it?Originally Posted by caravel

"ctrl +" and "ctrl -" increase/decrease the font size in Firefox. It won't fix the problem, but it will help.Originally Posted by Martok

Honestly, if you want to annihilate the problem (yes, annihilate - extreme measure), there will have to be heavy rules on sig sizes. They're total size, not just images, including text and quotes. But many wouldn't really enjoy giving up up to half of their signature. Unlike me, who has grown used to using simple text with a max of three lines. Only recently has it been since I've expanded my sig with extra lines and small images. Still can't get used to anything bigger, even when I try to add something large, it just doesn't sit right with me.![]()
