    Default An ideal Total War

With the new Medieval out and Empire coming out soon, i want to know what would be your favourite total war if it was custom to you. You can talk about this or complain about things you would like to do or find anoying in existingTotal Wars.

    I'll start:

    IN RTW:
Like in BI i want to name my citys. also, there should be a reward for completing the long campaign with all factions. YOU GET TO CREATE YOUR OWN FACTION. Wouldnt that be cool. of course there would have to be some rules aginstjust making the whole map yours or replacing, completely an existing faction, or the game would just be stupid. Also you cant have alltypes of units. there will have to be a limit. Another thing, city building, should be custom. You get to place where each building, road and wall go to make your capital personel to you. there are probaly others but i cant think of them right now so moving swiftly on...

    CUSTOM:
I think there could and should be a interplanetary, futuristic Total War. You could have special, new units like space fleets and entire planets could be citys on a citys final upgrade. There could be futuristic weapons personel to each faction and playable, space battles.
    What do you guys think.

For me,i would like to add the capture enemy technology feature into new Total War.
Like barbarian faction can build "city plumbing" and "highways" after capturing Roman city that own those "buildings" and "theater" from greeks city,or "execution square" and "trade route" from eastern cities......

The ability to train units that belong to other factions if you captured their settlements, for example if Rome captured Alesia then it should be able to train e.g Gallic Infantry (elites is not allowed). I know this is already done in some mods but it would be nice to see it in the original total war games.

I love the AoR system in RS so I would like that in, as well as the proper legion recruitment plus realistic colours and units. Also instead of making your own faction, having your own general. In terms, you can only manage cities your general has conquered, but you would be allied (I mean unbreakable) with whatever faction your general is from.

For me it would be a combination between the TW series and the Civilization series. The better city management of Civ 4 and the tech tree, but the campaign map and tactical battles of TW. Would be cool if all units were shared but each faction had specific buffs and buildings to make the units be different, also customized look and color so that they can be easily told apart. Of course there would be civil wars too and ship battles could be fought.

Simulatenous turns, aka WEGO. Forces you to predict your enemies' immediate actions, could lead to a greater diversity of battles, eliminates arbitrary turn-order advantages, and makes multiplayer campaigns practical (not that I think CA should design for that, but the hooks and functionality should be there for modders). Also opens up the possibility of coordinated attacks with your allies, assuming of course the alliances are actually meaningful.

Greater emphasis on supply of your armies. Hasn't that been one of the most important aspects of war for thousands of years? Also related, reinforcement that can be done in-place. You shouldn't have to move a unit back to a training ground to replenish it.

A tighther focus, as in Shogun.

I agree on Emperor Mithdrates!,there is custom faction that can be create on a game call "ROMANCE OF THREE KINGDOMS",with this feature, you can create you own faction=faction name, general, general traits and pick a rebel city as your capitol on the campaign map.

But i got some extra idea, that is we can create our own units roster too. What i want to say is that we can pick the war gear for our units=(sword or axe or club or mace or war hammer or spear or pike or javelins or bow),
(full plate or chainmail or leather armor or just clothes for peasants and militia hoplites, and we can have a cape for our guards like praetorians that town watch wearing),
(helmet for militia hoplites or full helm for armoured hoplites, although it will have same statistic like 7 armor but it will have different outlook or design for us to equip our unit to suit our faction style, like we can do in the DIABLO 2,so many war gear to be pick i will say,of coz base on the historically accuracy),this features will allow us to create units that with high attack but with low armor but can
    or
and i hope it will have leg plate like triarii or libyan spearmen.
I hope we can change our war gear for our units roster from time to time so we can fight a war base on our financial situation when we got huge populations but not our treasure(this time we can decide to fight in numbers).

then the computer will calculate the recruitment and upkeep cost for that units base on the war gear and troops training.

then my only main request is to urge the CA to stop improve the graphic(coz the graphic oredi good enough for my computer and making my computer so lag but not the computer AI) but to perfected their Battle AI and campaign AI(like they will know how to concentrate multiple armies to attack enemy army,i met that in RTW 1.0 but it won't happen in RTW 1.5,
some people suggest me to play RTW 1.0 but i can't becoz there is a lot of bugs and RTW 1.0 keep creating a lot of ships that prove not nessecarily but not increasing garrisons troops while my army just crush their army and march on their capitol.and so many reasons that i dun know how to explain.... )

This is the most thoughtful and interesting idea
