To have a legend such as Chirurgeon comment on our AAR is truly an honour! Im currently working on chapter 1 and the plan is to have weekly updates meaning that an update should be found every wednesday +/- 1 day. I'm currently a little unsure about how I should proceed so I thought it necessary to ask the viewers. I'm the type that likes to write.. Alot. So my original intent was to write like.. Much. My fear is however that you, the viewers, find it cumbersome to read through huge chunks of text. So I guess I'm asking a general question to the viewers; Would you find it bothersome if the AAR had alot of writing? I'll ofcourse aim at keeping the writing relevant and top-notch, but it can become... Alot to read. Hope to hear from you all.

A weekly update is fine but if you play the game alot it can add up to a lot of information. It is ok to write a lot but for me personally I like to read AARs that are divided into small updates and are updated often. You have to have a direction with your writing that will serve the AAR best. So far it looks good. I have tried several approaches to this. One of these is event based update. This means updating after a major event...such as a large battle...acquisition of a city...death of a leader...declaring war...etc. This is convenient because the information is fresh in your head and easier to compose. It also allows cliffhangers in your writing where the reader wants to keep coming back for more. The downside is that you may not have an event for a long time. A second way is the leadership format. That is you document what happens during the reign of a leader. I did this with the Ptolemy AAR but becomes unwieldy if your leader lives for a long time. One of the Ptolemies lived for several decades. A third way is date based. You can update every year (what I am doing in my current AAR). Or every five years or in a particular season. I like updating in the winter because my armies are not typically campaigning and its a general downtime. Again these are the three ways I have discovered of doing AARs. I am sure there are other updating formats out there. The one thing about AARs you have to remember that if it feels like your going to work or cuts into your everyday life its really not worth that in my opinion. Unfortunately life gets in the way of gaming.
I hope this helps and I wish you the best in a very promising start to your Epic AAR!
