on the totalwar website theres a fix or patch for barbarians for the polish and italian versions but mine is a uk version which they say theres no problems with so what should i do

Which version of BI do you have? (look in the Options Menu for the version number).

If its 1.4, you need the BI 1.6 patch, you'll find it here:

The BI 1.6 patch is a region-free, all languages.
