My brother lives in downtown Houston, but he's at least 50 feet above sea level. He's staying. According to him, he's got a full tank of gas, propane, canned goods, lots of water, a Beretta 92 and plenty of ammo. I just hope the roof of his house stays on.

Galveston is supposedly going to take the brunt of this whole thing. The whole metropolitan area is massive. Look at the logistical/beaurcratic problems with NO and times it by ten I dont like this a bit.
There, but for the grace of God, goes John Bradford

My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.

I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation.

My name is Ichigo. I am a survivor living in Texas. I am broadcasting on all AM frequencies. I will be at the South Street Seaport everyday at mid-day, when the sun is highest in the sky. If you are out there... if anyone is out there... I can provide food, I can provide shelter, I can provide security. If there's anybody out there... anybody... please. You are not alone.

    Take care, Houstonites.

The poorest man may in his cottage bid defiance to all the forces of the Crown. It may be frail; its roof may shake; the wind may blow through it; the storm may enter; the rain may enter; but the King of England cannot enter – all his force dares not cross the threshold of the ruined tenement! - William Pitt the Elder
