I have a feeling his wife's objections may have been as much tactile as they were aesthetic. I know from personal experience that some women don't like kissing men with beards, goatees, and/or mustaches.

Now that it is revealed that the camel lord is the bearded one, all of his followers must also become bearded.

I certainly have no objections if any wish to do so. Still, we must remember that it is through following the True Path that our fellow members of the Order shall gain salvation.
