Franc - I am looking into the navy situation and hope to have something soon, but I am very busy at the moment.

The general situation is that England rules the waves with the biggest navy by far. A lot of the ships were laid off after the defeat of Napoleon, even in the Royal Navy, so costs have fallen drastically. What I might come up with is a simple formula or something like that for the participants - is that OK?

The USA are important from the naval point of view and, of course, England has just finished a war with them - where we burnt a lot of Washington amongst other things!! The war was mainly naval with small land operations. It might be worth thinking of another player for them in the future.

Hope to get my move in early next week.

Oh - I must have missed the bit where the Americans landed near London and burnt our capital down. The White house is so called as it had to be whitewashed to hide the burn marks.....and it has been the home of many a good whitewash ever since

It'll still be a few days, Warman, organizing a government from scratch isn't super simple.
It is better to conquer yourself than to win a thousand battles. Then, the victory is yours. It cannot be taken from you, not by angels or by demons, heaven or hell.

But I haven't been getting responces about what to do with your payments to us, German Union and the Holy Allaince, so I presume everyone must want to do their own thing?

The prime minister of England, like his predecessor, seems to enjoy aggravating his fellow heads of state to no extent. I just see it as a matter of poor and shows a distinctive lack of respect towards his equals. I foresee that this attitude, shared by most of his countrymen, may one day lay his Island to ruins.
The blood on my Sultans’ hands is the same as on the hands of all of us. Lord Canning would be good to remember all the Englishmen slaughtered by his police force before he demonises my Sultan.
He would also be good to remember that I already repeatedly called for actions from the CoE before his ships attacked some Egyptian merchants. Peace bringer says he, Ha warmonger says I.

But aside from putting hypocrites in there place, I want to start the negotiations.
The Ottoman empire doesn’t look kindly on anarchists and insurgents. As such, we can’t show clemency on the Greek rebels. As I said before those who stand against the Sultans’ representative stands against the Sultan himself.
We do however see the need to avoid these wastes of resources and are therefore willing to give non-muslim minorities some more rights.

Russia will be controlled by me, as long as there is no adequate successor:

Russia sends an agent to Vienna for consultations with Austria. Russia also recognizes the new states of Romania and Serbia and alerts her troops along the border to Romania and Greece.

French Foreign Minister would advice to be cautious about recognicing new National republics as it is clearly against the concert.

You're controlling France, right? Since when has that ever stopped the French?

    (or any nation, really)

Remember: Russia is ALWAYS willing to negotiate.

I know it's Friday night for most of you but I'd like to know who's interested in an EU2 generated map of the game. I'd need to know what provinces each nation controls that doesn't correspond with history.

Warman: I also need a reply to my PMs when you have time. I'd like to give Franc as much time as possible.

    Thanks.

Fine with me! I ask Cobra to make sure, since my memory is bad about any non-historical provinces we might have.

    Franconicus,

Do you prefer summaries of PM discussions or the entire thread? I'm trying to reduce the clutter but would like to know what you prefer.

    Gentlemen,

Here is the draft version of the Concert of Europe map. If you don't have EU2 let me know if you need a screenshot of your territory. I only did the old world. I need specific information for the new world and any corrections to the old.

There are a few, issues: When loading the game you may encounter a few errors. "Ignore" them. Independent Belgium is a colony of Zimbabwe (Two of my favorite countries ) so it may look a little weird. Tripoli is Egypt for simplicity sake.

I know this isn't entirely accurate and need specifics from everyone, Franc in particular, and will adjust the map for the new chapter.
