Do you, uh, "listen to the advisor" whenever you start the game or load a save?
What I mean is, did you ever not turn on the script by clicking on "Show me How" when the advisor popped up after you loaded a save?
To be blunt, you are scr-buggered. You probably won't get the Marian reforms before the end of the game, and even if you do...
Yeesh.
Jupiter and Jove! 50 BC?!?!
You should have enabled the EB script by now, since you are always reminded to do so when you start a campaign, during the campaign, as well as sometimes during the loading screen phase.
Now, if you haven't enabled the script, you will not get the reforms or the 4 turns per year, which might account for the fact that you're in 50 BC, which very few people reach while playing EB. You do not have to have the advisor enabled to get the "Enable EB script message" from him. Whenever you load a save and then click on a town or a couple of other things as well, you will get that message from the advisor to enable the script.
You should start a new campaign, that would be better. Sorry man.
This space intentionally left blank.
Yes, you probably should start a new campaign and ALWAYS, ALWAYS remember to activate the EB script. Every time you load a savegame, the first thing you should do is to click on any city to make advisor pop up with the enable EB script message. Not only is the script responsible for the reforms, but as I've already said before, it enables four turns per year, not just two. This makes the game a lot longer, which is good, since it is going to take you quite a bit of time to conquer the world or even reach the victory objectives in EB.
i empathize with u, man, i did that mistake too when i first played EB
