Lol! Funny you should write that--I just happened on an old PM exchange with Martok from a couple of years ago. On a tight budget that isn't allowing me to spend much on new games, I started playing BoTF just the other day for the first time in a decade. It's still a lot of fun to this ST/TNG diehard. Good thing I saved that PM!

In regards to Birth of the Federation, have you gotten into the mods yet? Or are you still playing the vanilla game? I ask that because for as much as I enjoy the original version, I cannot emphasize enough how much the modding community has improved upon it.

He got me playing it as well! Can't stand Star Trek, aside from the occasional bit of Voyager. I do love my PC strategy games however.

I played and enjoyed the demo back in the day but never brought the game. Years later along comes Martok ...

Heh. Yes, I'm proud to say that I've gotten probably a good couple dozen or so folks playing -- it not flat-out hooked -- on Birth of the Federation over the years. It's an accomplishment (however dubious!) that I'll admit to being insufferably pleased over.
