600 feet or whatever isn't running.
Running is measured in miles. Anything less isn't worth talking about.
I don't think a person can be serious about martial arts if they aren't dedicated enough to get in shape.

It may be frail; its roof may shake; the wind may blow through it; the storm may enter; the rain may enter; but the King of England cannot enter – all his force dares not cross the threshold of the ruined tenement! - William Pitt the Elder
Précisément, monsieur!
I have nothing to worry about...I already bribed them with some Cashews and Milk. :P
lol, thank you for the input Mr. CR.
lol, 600 feet is short distance running/sprinting. I never said that I cannot run farther than that, I said that I can out run most people at that distance without getting tired, and after that I start to lose momentum. I am not very fit, but I can run at a decent pace for a mile. A slower run/jog I can maintain for 2-3 miles. I wasn't bragging about my long distance, but my sprinting. I can out sprint most people I have met. Believe it or not, there are even quite a few fairly athletic individuals who I can outlast on a run.
And as far as being serious about martial arts, I used to be in quite good shape (long before I practiced martial arts). It was injuries that I got doing martial arts that led to me being mostly immobile for several years and packing on the pounds. That said, as I am recovering, I am starting to lose the weight. A few months ago I was 310 lbs, now I am 270. I lost 40 lbs in three and a half months. 2.6 lbs a week is not so shoddy. Thank you for your judgment though.![]()

It's good to hear you're getting fitter.
But why not make a thread with more substance to it? A vague one line post doesn't add anything. Putting more effort into good posts helps the forum.
