I'll agree with ATPGs reasoning for now, although I suppose Warman another decent option in the "cut your losses" category.

    Unvote:, Vote: classical_hero

Also, ATPG you should know by now that the threat of death is only a minor annoyance for me. In any case, JHT was a "if I have to pick someone" vote. To many people tied present problems in effectively lynching anyone, and thus reducing town effectiveness. It's day 1, I'd like not to set a trend.

It matches your typical behavior, but it was still worth questioning. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

    Starting here:

4 AKWC88 (Robbiecon, Greyblades, Glenn, autolycus)
4 A.C.I.N. (TinCow, God Emperor, Captain Blackadder, Romanic)
4 ATPG (Thefluffyone93, Yaropolk, Sasaki, Rebel Jeb)
    3 YLC (Choxorn, Ironside, ACIN)
3 Classical Hero (Renata, Beskar, Winston Hughes)

    vote on acin

They end up tied at 7, should be 8 according to me but I didn't count very carefully or pay attention to unvotes.

Seems to me we should lynch one of the leaders from earlier on the off chance that this is a "save my buddy" wagon.

    unvote, vote:warman

You counted AA's unvote as well?

I guess no one read my post where I said I don't do the same tactic (helping the mafia) two games in a row. Oh well, cool beans. I got Fallout New Vegas to hold me over until the next large mafia game if this goes against me.

I saw it, we're just experimenting with ties

Just tell me who to vote for so it's a 3-way tie.

The Jedi council shall not stand for this!

    I mean, uhh...

If we're cutting losses, we should do as the Yarapolks do, and take one with a track record.

    Unvote, Vote: ACIN

Being better than the worst does not inherently make you good. But being better than the rest lets you brag.

I diagnose a severe case of casual scumminess, brought on by repeatedly getting away with it. The only cure is to lynch you until you start playing like a townie (or at least put some more effort into your scummy posting).

I hate to see you die early, c_h, but it's the only way you'll learn...

What is scummy about his post(s)? It bothers me when this characterization which is almost utterly meaningless is dropped as a way to justify a vote while not really justifying it at all. Better to just post a vote with nothing else, this makes it seem that you are trying too hard.

Yes, these attempts at actual serious votes on Day 1 are odd. What's the point of Day 1 if not to vote based on humor and metagaming?

Hmmm...to change or not to change....

My gut is telling me things, but my head is telling me things else. Should I listen to reason, or should I listen to feeling?

Are you implying that the seriousness of the vote has anything to do with the ontological status of guilt of the person being voted for?

Or perhaps you are implying this current case on classical_hero should even be considered serious. I don't consider "he put suspicion on Atpg but didn't vote so he is inconsistent, now allow me to add a word a subset of which is 'scum' to further justify my actions"

I will indulge you and consider it serious if you believe so, and so my response to it will be that classical_hero is throwing suspicion based on someone's voting patterns. Not exactly my cup of tea but OK, I consider it better than endorsing an average restaurant like Outback Steakhouse which ACIN is doing (quality used to be better but now the food is worse and the waitresses are less pretty).

Exactly. I am surprised at how serious we have suddenly gotten on the first day. My finger of suspicion on ATPG was a joking one, since it is impossible to know exactly who is who on the first day.

@Motep. If your gut is telling you something, could it be indigestion?
