Happy new year, but be careful you stay on topic in the off-topic forum this season, otherwise old nanny goat Lemur will come along and close all your threads.

Easily the most over-hyped night of the year. Happy New Year regardless.

Typical. Why don't you do an activity you don't do very often on NYE?

Sounds like someone's starting off the year with a shot of penicilin.

Yes...so happy, this new year. Either the greatest or most depressing year of my life, and I dont even know which yet. But one thing is certain: this year will be momentous (for me, at any rate).

I am 17, I drunk a bottle of champagne, and I am not drunk. Is there something wrong with me?

I have such an unwarranted hangover for the amount I drunk last night. I was drunk enough to have a good time yet definitely not drunk enough to deserve the feeling of a baby elephant treading on my skull..

But thats the fun of it. Best to have it going either way, otherwise you'll be Arutha, and as Amos Trask says, "Ah Arutha, you take all the fun out of life!"

Don't know if you should be, but plently of people have a high tolerance to alcohol.

Champagne normally does not have more than 15% alcohol in it. Now the standard bottle size is 750 ml, so the alcohol in it is 100 ml....which is about what an average man can take without getting drunk.

    I approve of this
There, but for the grace of God, goes John Bradford

My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.

I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation.
