    Brits get a pass on the coffee/tea thing, as long as you don't eat cucumber sandwiches with them. East Asian nationals do as well. Everyone else needs to drink coffee. IT'S THE LAW.

    It is so funny! Americans preferred tea when the British were loving their coffee. The Americans switched to coffee because of tax and patriotism and the Brits switched to tea because of taxes. Both were well over 200 years ago and it has just been ingrained into the cultures.

    Just about any speciality blend from Twinings will do for me, with Lady Grey being the usual teabag being thrown into my cup; it's very rare that I have bog-standard normal tea these days.

    That's not to say that I'm not partial to coffee, but tea easily wins for me.

    I fired up my Breville Crackhead coffee machine this morning and my first cup was a double espresso made with Kenya AA black with the cream blasted with the steamer.

    Lady Grey is an interesting one, more popular amongst young women than Earl Grey now it seems. Which is odd, because it's been around for yonks and I swear no one drank it until a few years ago.

    Me, I drink the Early Grey, but I have coffee first thing.

    But if I had to choose, I would go with coffee.

    I usually have Earl Grey along with breakfast, as the sharper taste from the bergamot oil really peps me up in the morning; Lady Grey feels like more of an afternoon tea, since the flavours are balanced and alot more delicate on the palate as a result.

    Why tea ofc ! :)

    I , like many, drink earl grey.. sometimes a green earl grey for the late evenings. However I am drinking a second-flush tea from India atm.. It's really good actually
    I would usually stick to the black tea as it gives a kick to the brain : p
