This is the most important lynch in the game and you're not going to be able to squeeze by with just a vote and no explanation.

There is no reason or explanation for it. It is every bit as unwarranted and baseless as it appears.

Now now, no need to get flustered. I was a bit preoccupied and needed something down in case I missed another deadline.
robbiecon and Ironhead have extremely suspect votes.

Also Vitellius was Roman Emperor for 8 months after Nero's death. So I'm guessing he was destined to take Nero's place once he died.

It seems he would rather Beefy died then have him be replaced which I find peculiar and especially offensive as I was the one to replace him.

It would appear either he is joking, or he is really grasping at straws to find a reason to vote for someone who, at the time, was already a person of interest.

So who was it that shifted their vote from me to Lord of Lent to condemn LoL to his death and thus protect Warman from a possible lynch? None other than Secura. I suggest we lynch Secura, and if guilty, we might find that Warman was also part of this conspiracy.

    VOTE SECURA

Here he accuses Secura of voting LoL to save Warman. After seeing Secura's vote for Warman which came literally, the very next post and an explanation the following post, his vote remained on her.

The vote switch is self-explanitory to be honest; Lord of Lent hopped onto the Warman wagon without explaining his vote, making him the third voter on the wagon, a scummy accolade in it's own right. Furthermore, I don't really think one can argue when two of the best players of the Gameroom had also found his behaviour to be scummy.

My vote for Warman comes because he has been acting odd for the entire game now, and while I know that this is just his usual behaviour, I think that he could be maintaining this as a facade to appear as town as possible. This notion is further supported by a comment I have from a QuickTopic I was privy to as gamehost, whereby he was acting similarly in-thread and shrugged it off as "I'm just toying with them and keeping my mouth shut for the time being."

Ergo, he gets my vote now.

He says that ATPG is suspicious because he claimed to have known about a vigilante but was not killed the previous night for it. He was also the only one who pointed this out.

Pizza points out how questionable his vote is. The very next night ATPG was killed.

I think robbiecon's scummy, but Ironhead's scummier. Clearly the brains behind the whole operation.

This is my first game on this forum, I haven't got a clue what is going on half the time, I cannot figure out who is good or who is bad. My role is Pliny, and when I got the role PM I didn't know if I was supposed to be good or bad so I even sent a night-kill order in to the GM (he gently returned it with advice that the only way I can kill people is with my vote to lynch).

Sorry if my posts have been without much meat to them, I have been gut-voting most of the time anyway.

VOTE ROBBIECON -- based on Skooma's argument.

I hope you'll keep playing, the first few games can be very disorienting, and you feel ignored a lot of the time. I have a game I still need players for, not quite mafia but it should be good.

So um yeah, you're still totally scum...

This was the final day of the reign of the most glorious Emperor Nero he who had ruled Rome for decades. The final vote takes place and as the senators argue it goes back and forth going from one figure to the next. As it is in many of these situations the vote goes the way of the man who has no friends in Rome, the loner more happy to be writing books then discussing politics. Pliny. Pliny steps forward knowing in his heart that he has not done all that he was supposed to have done. He has had no children to carry on the name of Pliny. However these thoughts mean nothing in the long run for today is the day the he dies. Pliny steps forward with his life running through his eyes. He had being in self imposed exile yet he had come back to help Rome and death was to be his reward? Nero orders the last men standing to take Pliny away and they move towards him. Vespasian the great General moves towards him, Petronius the great satirist who may have being involved but was not they take Pliny outside leaving Nero alone with Epicharis and Faenus Rufus head of the Praetorian Guard after the death of Tigellinus. Nero looks around noticing the senate house is empty. He looks at these two figures and realises far too late to save himself that he has made a grave mistake. He yells out for the Praetorians to help him but they do not respond.

Rufus walks to the Emperor and quietly talks to him.
We have had Emperors for the last 80 years and what has it caused? Nothing but heartbreak and pain. Today is the day that you die Nero and the corrupt Empire will die with you. Tomorrow will be the dawning of a new age the return of the republic. Do you have anything to say before will kill you, you fat blotted corpse of a man?

"I am ready to become a god. I am ready to meet the gods of the world it is a question of are they ready to meet me?"

With these final words the daggers once again fall on Nero destroying the Empire and restoring the Republic. This will known as the year of Rufus and Epicharis and will be remembered throughout history.

Meanwhile as Pliny falls from the hills of Rome to be gashed on the rocks. The two remaining loyalists return to the Senate House and find Nero's corpse the plotters look at them and ask.

    "Will you help the Republic?"

Fearing for their lives both men say yes. But as they walk away there is a little smile on the face of Vespasian Rufus is a fool and Epicharis is insignificant there will be nothing to stop him from ruling Rome soon and this time there will be no civil war to prevent him.

Good game everyone! Congrats to my teammates, for surviving and winning the game for me.

    Thanks for the game CB

And I am wondering: Did Secura kill ATPG last night because you thought he could be mafia without knowing it? Was Secura vigilante or again a friendly Serial killer?

I'm interested to see the roles, because we had no special powers at all, and it appears there was a doctor, a vigilante, an extra voter, a council or someone to decide how tied lynches would end. From my perspective we were not favourite, or what am I missing?

I was a serial killer; I assume you say again because I played the role in the exact same fashion in Shakespearean Mafia?

At first, I read my PM incorrectly; I was in a hurry, had just handled an infraction (and the fallout that followed) and had things to do with the Animus game, so skirted over the PM and assumed I had to find and kill Piso. After several nights of not using my ability, Blackadder approached me and told me I was supposed to be killing every night, I told him I was aware of this fact... but continued not to do so.

By this point I had already been pressured by both Winston and Pizza, possibly due to the fact that there had only been one kill and I had been inactive due to laptop issues; I told them I was a vigilante, as I had believed, but later came clean to Pizza that I was actually a serial killer.

Over the course of the next two or three day phases, I helped Pizza weed through potential suspects, but following Romanic's lynch it got to the point where he believed the mafia to be defeated and said I had to kill him, for reasons I still can't fathom. He said that it would be unsporting or something like that, so I went along with it.

Essentially, I was supposed to be the second kill each night, a balancing mechanic for the game and so on; due to my dislike of serial killer roles (I just don't have the killer instinct as mafia, that's even worse without partners to confer with), I basically decided to play the game as I was town, and then allow Pizza to reveal and lynch me at the end.

Had I not made the conscious decision to play the game in this fashion, the town would have had minimal chance of winning since they needed to lynch me and three mafia to win; in a game of only seventeen people, with two kills per night... I think that this is a bad choice on the part of the host.

    Marcus Salvius Otho

Brave men rejoice in adversity, just as brave soldiers triumph in war.
    Seneca

Hail Otho, You are Otho a future Emperor of Rome and current ruler of Lusitania . You are one of the men who actually runs the Empire. You are well know for your moderation and level headed method of running your province. You have had some problems with Nero of late after all he did steal your wife. But you still do like him and you do remember all the great times you had when you were younger.

Objective See all threats to the Empire Destroyed

    Askthepizzaguy

    Lucius Calpurnius Piso Frugi Licinianus

Yield not to calamity, but face her boldly.
    Virgil

Hail, Lucius. You are Lucius brother of the conspirator Piso. However you are not involved in the conspiracy. You are a direct descendent of one of the richest men who ever lived Marcus Crassus. Whilst you have nowhere near the amount of money that he has you still have some of that spark. Plus as a bonus you are a far better General then he ever was.

Objective To destroy all threats to the Empire

    Secura

    Servius Sulpicius Galba
A sword never kills anybody; it is a tool in the killer's hand.

Whilst during much of the past 30 years you have being retired you returned to public office 5 years ago. Since that day you have found yourself wondering could you be the next Emperor? Robbiecon

    Titus Flavius Vespasianus

    Virgil

Hail Vespasian, You are Vespasian a future Emperor of Rome and the great General of the Empire. You are one of the men who actually runs the Empire and has ensured that it remains safe and stable even whilst Nero has slowly slipped into what could charitably be called eccentricities. Renata
    Gaius Musonius Rufus
Happy the man who has been able to learn the causes of things.
    Virgil

Hail Gaius, You are Gaius Musonius Rufus the famous stoic philosopher. You have written many great works on philosophy. You are known for your very radical views on women. You have said that women should learn philosophy because they have the same capacity as men. This is of course insanity. Your other extremely radical views have often put you into conflict with the authorities however as a stoic you would never resort to Murder.

Objective: To destroy all threats to the Empire

    Autolycus

    Gaius Ofonius Tigellinus

    All cruelty springs from weakness.
    Seneca

Hail Prefect of the Praetorian Guard. You are Tigellinus for now on of Nero's greatest allies in Rome. You are so trusted by Nero that you have being placed in command of the group that is known to be the Kingmaker in Roman Politics, the Praetorian Guard. You have returned his trust by not joining in the plot to dispose of him. In fact you are one of the leading lights of the investigation into the plot. You are known for your complete devotion to finding out the plotters and are not afraid to commit a little bit of torture to get what you want. You in conjunction with Poppaea Sabina (Winston Hughes) are the ones leading the investigation against the menace that is the Pisonians.

Objective: To destroy all threats to the Empire
Abilities: As the commander of the Praetorian Guard you can protect one person each night.

    Winston Hughes

    Poppaea Augusta Sabina

    Petronius

Hail Empress Poppaea. You are the Empress of Rome second wife to Nero one of the most ambitious women in Roman History. Many things have being said about you some of them not kind. The most common being that you have relations with other women as well as being that special kind of ruthless that makes sure that such rumours never reach your ears. You are one of the leading lights of the Investigation into the Conspiracy along with the head of Neros bodyguard Gaius Ofonius Tigellinus (Autolycus).

Objective: To destroy all threats to the Empire
Abilities: As the wife of the Emperor you have a certain powers in Rome. In the event of a tie you decide who dies plus your vote counts for double.

    Tiberius of the Drake

    Faenius Rufus
After I'm dead I'd rather have people ask why I have no monument than why I have one.

    Aulus Vitellius

A punishment to some, to some a gift, and to many a favour.
    Seneca

Hail Vitellius. You are Vitellius a future Emperor of Rome and current Pro-Consul of Africa. You are one of the men who actually runs this Empire. As a result you are not too happy to be recalled to discover plotters. You would much rather be in Carthage ruling over one of the most important provinces in the Empire. Yet you must do as the Emperor wishes and thus you are in Rome.

Objective: To destroy all threats to the Empire.

    Yaropolk
    Gaius Suetonius Paulinus

    Virgil

Hail Seutonius, You are Gaius Suetonius Paulinus the governor of Britain. You are most well know for defeating the menace that was Boadicea and making certain that Britain remains part of the Roman Empire to this day. Your power in the Empire is great but your position is vicarious as Britain is a backwater of the Empire and the true honour and power rests in the east.

    Virgil

Hail Gaius. You are Gaius the Governer of Syria. Whilst you have had to deal with revolts by the Jewish members of your province it has proven to be a very difficult task. There has being some talk in Rome that you are to be replaced as Governer by someone more suited to Military tasks. But you are an able historian who has collected many letters written in the late republic period. You have formed them into books such as Cicero's letters to his friends. So at the very least one thing you do will live on through the ages even if the people will not remember your name.

    Yes .

I disagree with this. The serial killer and the mafia are enemies, they can't win together, so they are bound at some point to attack each other, helping the Town collaterally. We've seen 17 player games with 3 mafia and 1 SK in the past, it's not unbalanced. Of course the Town could have been crushed in this case, if they can't lynch a mafia before Day 5 (me) and if the SK doesn't kill a mafiosi, but it could have been different story if you did.
