Referring to what I said in the QT, and why we killed you:
ATPG gave us your identity when he said that a vig/sk wasn't killing. Who else would it be?If ATPG is telling the truth about a vigilante/SK who chose not to kill, that would be Secura, it's totally her style. Kill her tomorrow, she's also a good kill for placing the first vote on me, making her look innocent.![]()
Vigilante perhaps; I think that stems from the fact whenever I have had the ability to vig-kill, there's always been implied repercussions that would put me off doing so (Princess Zelda/Buffy Summers), so I generally avoid it; that's not to say I'll refrain from doing so, but there has to be good cause for doing so, I don't vig with impunity.
But for serial killer? That isn't a matter of choice or fear of reprisal, but more the fact that I'm utterly clueless under the pressure of working alone and having to eliminate everyone else to win; for me, there's no harder role to play in mafia and I'm never going to chalk up a win in such a role.
"Blacker than a moonless night. Hotter and more bitter than Hell itself… that is coffee."
*rofl* at you people. I've never been a Serial Killer or a Vigilante, but I would enjoy these roles a lot. Nobody wants me to have them
Not killing, or random killing, as a Vig or a SK is utter nonsense!!!
please please please... random.org hear my plea, give me one of these roles, please please, pretty please.
That was intentional. I didn't want to waste a lynch on Secura, and I also needed clues out there in case someone axed me. If the mafia had killed Secura, and Secura had killed a mafia, that gambit would have been WELL worth it.
Secura was supposed to kill Romanic the other day, and then the mafia would have been all over her. It would have worked if Secura was active.
I do not apologize for my high-risk gray morality strategies as townie. They are more fun, and more unexpected, and give a sharper game against the mafia. It is who I am. This game would have proven my point beyond doubt, were it for a single PM sent.

Yes.
With due respect, Secura, Skooma, and anyone else:
Some people don't like being basic townies. Some people don't like being mafia. Some people don't like being vigilantes. Some people don't like being serial killers. However, when you sign up for a game you are telling the game host you are both interested in playing, and also willing to play any part handed to you, including strange, bizarre roles, anything they come up with.
You must roll with it; ask to be replaced if you don't want to play, or play the role as intended. Now, there's a lot of leeway there. You don't have to kill as a vigilante. You don't have to protect as a doctor. However, you should investigate as a detective, and you should kill as SK. Mafia have some wiggle room regarding bluffing with their kills. SKs should never go more than one round not killing; it's their mission to kill.
The game host designs a game with balance in mind. Not investigating as detective, not killing as SK, can ruin game balance for one team. Not performing as your role doesn't make the game any more fun for anyone, yourself included. You should, on principle, be willing to play the role sportingly or ask for a replacement. You should also consider what a pain it is to replace people sometimes, as a host, and keep that in mind when you place your name on sign up sheets.
Are you really interested? Think about it.

Oh do not misunderstand, my stuffed crust friend, I fret not over any role I receive and use what I have to the best of my abilities. I was just stating that when I receive such roles, I like to mix things up a bit and play out of the norm. But looking back at that particular role, it may have been a better decision to just murder unforgivingly instead of going against the grain and against the original intent of the role. I just like to experiment and not killing was a test of sorts that perhaps would have been better saved for another day and another role.
I'm even happy when I get to be a SK, even though such roles are almost guaranteed fail.

I think I was kinder in my assessment of that game than even you were, if I remember correctly. The only reason I won that game is because I worked with the mafia and they ended up getting overconfident and outed themselves just as we were both about to win. A situation that wouldn't have been possible if the host hadn't made it so they could win together, as almost a super-mafia family.

Didn't I tell you jht was Mafia. With 3 votes on him!
I was getting a feeling Romanic was Mafia too, he goes into his massive analysis when he's mafia (incidentally so too do I).
