Maybe we all have secret cards that we don't know of yet, and something happens to the player whose card is selected.

And what would those cards be? Like, another set of standard poker cards, or something completely different? I don't think either would make sense. Why have a secret set of cards?

Here is a complete list of things you can attempt to do without spending credits or using items, for the purposes of trying to uncover your hidden talent with your second action slot.

    1. Investigate someone
    2. Roleblock someone
    3. Vig-kill someone
    4. Protect someone else
    5. Protect yourself
    6. Kill your attacker
    7. Resist Theft
    8. Resist Scan
    9. Resist Roleblock
    10. Revive player
    11. Bus driver
(switch two players so the effects applied to each will apply to the other... useful as a defensive or offensive weapon)
    12. Steal item
    13. Steal credits Derp. Dunno what I was thinking. You always have to spend credits to steal credits.

Sorry I did not post this sooner. My mistake. Will add to opening posts.

    NIGHT ONE

    Define your meaning of war
To me it's what we do when we're bored
I feel the heat coming off of the blacktop
And it makes me want it more
Because I'm hyped up, outta control
If it's a fight I'm ready to go
I wouldn't put my money on the other guy
If you know what I know that I know

It's been a long time coming
    And the tables' turned around
Cause one of us is goin'
One of us is goin' down
I'm not running, it's a little different now
Cause one of us is goin'
One of us is goin' down

    -- Sick Puppies

The sound of hooves clattering against pavement alerted TheFlax to the fact that someone was approaching. He turned around, half expecting to see a familiar face, but what he saw was someone... or something... that he did not recognize.

    "Heh.... heh.... heh...."

The dark figure towered over TheFlax, raising its arms, summoning dark forces. TheFlax froze like a deer in headlights, but as soon as the stranger unleashed the evil orb, he took off like a bolt of lightning. He dashed down the street, as fast as he could. He was just about to turn the corner and escape down one of the alleys, when the dark energy ball impacted him in the back. TheFlax was thrown against a nearby building, and lay mortally wounded.

He looked around with sad eyes, hoping someone would save him from this dark figure, but no one came.

classical_hero lay in the sewers, waiting for the inevitable. Somehow, he just knew that they were out to get him, whoever they were. The sound of a manhole cover scraping against pavement alerted him to the fact that someone was about to enter his dark and twisted lair.

The creature began to drool.... it could smell fresh meat. It lay waiting for the intruder to walk into its trap.

    *BRAWWW...... BRAWWWWWW...... brappa brappa brappa......*

The creature was alarmed to hear the strange noise. It had never heard anything like it before, not in England, and not in this strange place. The creature was not afraid, and charged forward to devour whatever was making that horrendous noise.

The beast spotted the smaller figure, raising a tiny weapon. Unimpressed, the creature advanced, roaring loud enough for the entire city to hear. The beast swiped at the small foe, trying to crush it between its powerful limbs.

The beast was shocked to see its gigantic claw hacked clean from its body. Enraged, the beast lunged forward, trying to bite and slam the puny thing. Within seconds, the beast was covered with gaping wounds, flesh gouged from its body, and blood leaking everywhere. The beast was shocked that it was losing this battle so horribly, and could only scream in terror as the masked figure drove the chainsaw clean through its chest.

With one final roar, the beast tried to retaliate against the victorious foe, but it was too late. Classical_hero suffered a fatal heart attack, and the cartoon peril was no more.

Kagemusha was quite beside himself. The duo went everywhere together, and they were usually foes. But having gone through hell and back, the pair of critters became fast friends, and stood ready to watch each other's back in this cruel and unforgiving place.

That is why, when the pair heard the sound of heavy footsteps approaching, they were ready. One of them held a giant mallet, and the other held an axe. They stood side by side, prepared for anything. Or so they thought.

A towering, massive figure stood before them, bellowing with evil laughter. They lunged forward.

A giant fireball impacted the smaller one, with the axe, knocking it backward and engulfing the poor creature with agonizing flames. The second creature stood toe-to-toe with the attacker, and attempted to bash it to death with the giant mallet. The blows, however, bounced off the creature's huge, intimidating frame. The assassin grabbed the larger creature and lifted it over its head, and impaled it on top of a fire hydrant. The other, smaller creature quickly burned to death.

The fight was all too brief, and the outcome certainly surprised the veterans of violence. But they were too dead to express their shock.

    ______________________________

ByzantineKnight stood proudly in the center of town. A massive figure, he felt he was prepared for anything, and felt no fear. When a familiar figure approached, the beast felt a kinship.... and immediately trusted the smaller figure. The two did not exchange any words.

However, ByzantineKnight suddenly felt an annoying stinging sensation in his chest and arms. He looked down and saw that bits and pieces of his skin were being torn apart by tiny projectiles. Confused, the creature looked around to see what could be causing it. The beast turned toward its new friend, the smaller figure, to see if it could gain any clues. The smaller figure was making a lot of noise, and this began to greatly irritate the towering beast even more than the tiny projectiles. Unable to connect the two annoyances, the great lumbering beast roared at its new friend, as if commanding him to be quiet.

When the noise continued, the great beast lumbered forward, roaring louder and smashing up parked cars and anything else standing in the way. The stinging sensation continued. Why was his new friend not listening to him? Stop making noise! Stop it!

The figure began slowly backing up, and it began throwing tiny egg shaped objects in the direction of ByzantineKnight. These tiny eggs clattered to the huge creature's feet. It looked down, wondering what they were. They exploded, coating the giant creature with flames. The creature hated the bright light and the noise of the explosion, and it became enraged. Maybe this familiar figure was no friend at all....

Finally, the creature turned toward its attacker and tried to stomp on it, but the smaller, faster figure moved out of the way. It tried to pound the figure into the pavement, but it kept moving. Finally, the giant beast grabbed a street light and pulled it out of the sidewalk, and began swinging it at its attacker. One of the blows landed solidly, and the much smaller foe went flying, and landed rather roughly some 30 feet away.

The flashing and the noises stopped, as did the stinging projectiles.

Satisfied, the confused giant lumbered towards the fallen foe, wondering why his friend was hurting him. The beast was startled when the figure managed to get to its feet, bloodied and battered though it was. The figure pulled two long blades from behind its back, and faced the giant. The giant stood its ground, still angry and confused at the unprovoked attack. The smaller figure lunged, moving faster than any human being possibly could. It buried the long blades deep into the giant's chest, impaling the creature straight through the heart.

Reacting instinctively, the giant slammed its heavy hands together, crushing the attacker, and it pulled the small foe off of its body, snapping bones in the process, knocking the wind out of the little thing. The monster then lifted the attacker up with one hand, and slammed it roughly against the ground, trying to kill it.

The giant could take no more of this abuse, and it began to transform.... the virus inside its body activated, and the already giant, enraged creature became more and more furious, and grew to several times its already formidable size. The bellowing creature could be seen and heard all across The Purgatory.

The smaller foe weakly pulled itself to its feet once again.... astounded that the creature would not die. It looked at the giant beast with glowing, furious, murderous eyes... It produced a crossbow seemingly out of nowhere, and aimed the weapon directly at the giant's face, and squeezed the trigger.

Tied tightly to the bolt was a small cylinder, filled with a special kind of powder, and protruding from the cylinder was a short, lit fuse. The bolt impacted the giant in the eye, causing the giant to stagger. The powder then exploded, shattering the giant's face and dealing a mortal blow.

The massive figure roared with indescribable fury, its body burning, bloodied, and blown to pieces. With its final bit of strength, the massive giant uttered the following word....

    "Venganza...."

The creature fell forward, swiftly and with murderous intent. The smaller attacker could not move its battered body out of the way in time, and it was crushed beneath the huge corpse of El Gigante.

    ______________________________

B_Ray was hopping along, when suddenly a dark figure turned a corner and approached the small creature. B_Ray bared its fangs, and leaped into the air to deliver the decapitating blow.

    RUN AWAY!!!!

However, a burst of powerful energy stopped B_ray in his little rabbit tracks, and the tiny creature was blown into smithereens almost instantly.

    One Rabbit stew, coming up...

So Seon WAS one of the enemy. In that case so is Renata. I am happy to trade myself to these two scum. Thanks for showing your connection so early on! Now can someone please revive me so we can hunt down the rest of the "Chaotics"?

I thought having a passive hidden self defense talent was a bit pointless, since you'll probably never see that you have it.

I was wrong. So count me lucky this far (that's by ATPG:s account, so no random 0% test attack) and for atleast freaking 6 attacks this night.

For that, I'm going to request that people are kind enough to leave 1 retaliation item for me.

We are all aware that the senses can be deceived, the eyes fooled. But how can we be sure our senses are not being deceived at any particular time, or even all the time? Might I just be a brain in a tank somewhere, tricked all my life into believing in the events of this world by some insane computer? And does my life gain or lose meaning based on my reaction to such solipsism?

Wait, so let me get this straight. We already killed a mafia by day 2, because of a retribution kill? Are these retribution abilities like landmines for the mafia, if they try to kill the wrong person, they will be unlucky enough to be killed in the process?

Also, why is Blackadder talking as though he had a previous incarnation in this hellish hellhole? Multiple personality disorder is a very common sign of... CHAOS. For safety's sake I think we should:

Oh...umm...I mean... You have fallen into my trap! Yeah, my ingenuous trap! All part of my plan, yes very Machiavellian, whom I murdered, by the way.

Yeah. Well, as an objective dead who really, REALLY doesn't care whether or not you all live or die, you should TOTALLY try and murder Renata because she's totally my scumMcscum pal, pal who would vote on capt. Blackadder to save my life on day 1, thus clearly manifesting a theoretical link between me and her. Yup, no strings attached. Totally not my diabolical scheme to kill Renata from beyond the grave when I get killed before D4. Yup, definitely not.

Wow, I was right with B_Ray all along.
Hmm? You were right that he, for the purposes of this game, was a townie? So you voted for him in round 1 while predicting he was a townie?

I was semi expecting a "wow I was right with Seon all along" instead

    Anyway,

Vote: Animator to DiY if only to provide some comfort that I won't be killed super early for the third game in a row.

And also Bet: 3 Credits on Byzantine Knight, quotation reasons spoilered to avoid a longer post.

Bet: 5 credits on Chaotix, I think Seon is on to something.

And welcome to the .Org all you new players!

Odd reasoning followed by an odd backdown. A quick re-read shows that he had a post in thread about an hour before his bet post, which clearly shows his reasoning of Renata "saying 'what' in a way that offended me deeply" to be a silly and hasty back down.

Seon's 10 cred bet on him was interesting, but since he was being wishy washy with it I didn't think it was that significant in being factored in here

On Renata, I'm more inclined to believe that she wouldn't be so silly as to link herself so early with a scum buddy, and Seon post-death responses looks like he's just trying to fuel the fire deliberately.

Since the Anti-Mafia faction force [win] by simply having more credits overall, I'm disinclined to pursue the Renata case, especially since it looks to me like Seon is capitalizing on Kage's posts to incite people to post a larger bet on her.

EDIT: Hey you up there, Death is Yonder, you do know I'm dead and I killed a mafia... right?

On a side note I have now edited this post 4 times because of awful triggerhappyposting (yes, that is one word) and I am honored to be a Night 1 kill. Even if Random.org decided my fate ^_^

    Bet: 4 credits on acin

    Yeah. Your questions are scummy.

Now. To do what everyone else will do... and vote every item to myself. Well, ain't this a smart system.

    Vote: Killer Rabbit to myself
    Vote: Traitorous Elf to myself
    Vote: Animator to myself
    Vote: Cartoon Mallet to myself
    Vote: Virus Sample to myself
Vote: Custom Desert Eagle to myself
    Vote: Puffy Shirt to myself

Also Bet 1 credit: Beskar because voting items for yourself is scummy!

or is it time to bandwagon? fold; Bet 1 Credit: Renata ?

I think it is time for talking.
