So I guess it isn't everyone, but it does seem to be pretty popular.

preceding with the war agianst hre while its turn was skipped feels kinda lousy. i just went on the way i did coz i felt like this moves would have passed through under the radar anyway so... but next round maybe some ally is subbing the turn at least. otherwise its just a shady war that sucks. my reputation around those forums inst the best so u guys surly are having more success with asking people about taking over hre. maybe someone from the other forums is willing
anyway... france up
http://depositfiles.com/files/v6ywyx2dj
alright i posted before i checked the thread so forget about what i said about looking for a new hre player. looks like we found one already. good thing.
right now there is no chance for peace. its just my opinion but im pretty sure all of us are getting most out of it if we are somewhat making this an unoffical world war. meaning that france and spain definitely are staying with hre. just backstabbing him now really was kinda slith and totally lame. so sticking to the alliance and supporting hre surly is more fun for all of us in the long run

Didn't you read the thread? Myth is taking over the HRE
And with regard to TriforceV, he did complain when his turn was skipped (even though he was several days late) and I gave him the opportunity to play it instead. He declined and preferred to leave the game.

yea i just read it. my concern about the skipping was meant as a general remark so play it cool bro. im always favoring subbing over skipping. but whatever if we got a new player taking over hre we good

By the way I also favour subbing over skipping.
But as far I as know Tri had not appointed a sub, and I know from other games that he doesn't think factions that border one another should be subs, even if allies, without the player's consent. So skipping was really my only option (I had also pm'd him to remind him it was his turn).

Had you chosen the HRE in the FN game I'd have been allied with you. I'm very loyal to my allies but I have a game plan before I start. For this particular campaign It included splitting Poland with my ally to the West.

Heh, it's only a game after all! Plus the sooner we finish some of our current games the sooner we can play the Christain/Muslum "capture the settlements" game.

Kermit's made a TWS2 guide? Oh, the other frog....
Happy Easter to anyone celebrating it! Just letting you guys know that I have sporadic access to any one of the two M2TW PCs in my flat, what with one guy breaking his Achilles tendon and being confined to his room and all. But I hope I will be able to play the turn today, and once I assess the situation I'll post in the diplomacy thread and probably stat sending PMs.
Hopefully soon I'll have a worthy PC myself and this kind of thing won't happen any more.

Can't. He is lazy (super, super lazy) and does not want to learn new games and he is too proud to admit he doesn't want to put his mind to a complex game like RTW or MTW. In fact the only thing he does is play Starcraft 2 (but only because he played the first part a lot), watch Starcraft 2 streams and play some flash based games in Facebook... I've told him time and again "man you don't know what you are missing" but I think by now he hates M2TW just so he can be opposed to me. The other guy has a similar position to the TW series albeit I think his main reason to shun them is because he hates the idea of not being the best at something.

Any rules for this game? I'll assume autoresolve vs human players, no assassins for FMs, no spies for settlements, no opening with ballistae etc. If I can lead my armies though, please let me know.

Any battle can be fought; no restriction on assassins; spies are not allowed to open any gates (including forts); no restriction on siege equepment. The full list of rules is in the first post. Also, the original point of this game was to try and get as many achievements from the list as possible although I'm not sure how many actually care about that any more... It seemed like a novel idea at first, but in practice...people like fighting too much :P

Wow, battles can be fought! Getting the jump on the enemy is very important now. And unrestricted siege equipment... Interesting indeed! Good thing I only fought naval battles this turn. Now I understand why the previous HRE player was so heavy on the archers which normally suck in autoresolve. This makes the Hungarian army much deadlier than anticipated.
So when an army is defeated can we move it next turn or not? Can we attack a defeated army on the following turn?
BTW you do realize that with allowing any battle to be fought and turning off the "unlimited units on battlefield" thing that the attacking player can pick off armies as if he had Night Fighter (reinforcments never come in M2TW as it always thinks you don't have enough system resources)

The rule about defeated armies and movement is not in effect in this game. As always i'm wiling to amend the rules if there is a desire to do so.
The achievements will still be used to judge the winner of the game so I encourage all players to familiarise yourselves with them.
Myth, I would consider that an exploit - if anyone's pc is genuinely unable to handle multiple armies in battle please speak up now.

I've forced unlimited troops on both machines I play on currently. It's off by default however and unless one researches it he may not be aware (one of the two PCs for me always disabled reinforcements, hence me having to change that line). So I think the more proper thing is for everyone to what is described here.
