I think it might be called the Russian Orthodox Empire. If that doesn't work I'll come up with a list of faction names later tonight

not off the top of my head I don't....but....isn't it just called russia? If I were in front of my gaming comp I could probably remember, or look it up in the SS forums which is where I got it in the first place I think

there's another file you can use, descr_strat I think has the list of names in it...

I remember that there were 2 russian factions. Under banner of russia was dark-blue colored faction Novgorod. Bright blue (Nightbringer's faction) is kievan_rus then.
So... The Russian Orthodox Empire equals to kievan_rus :P

Kievan rus is completely separated from russia (new faction slot, that was made). Russia is vanilla, kievan rus is additional. Or i misunderstood something?

Ok, I've gone back quite a few turns and am still getting a ctd at the end of England's turn. Fiddling around with England's moves doesn't seem to stop it, either...

Well maybe we'll just have to call it a game, unless anybody else has any ideas. The Spanish and Egyptians fought well, but they're both outnumbered and seemingly on their final leg, and I for one wasn't looking forward to a final world war that probably would have happened if we continued the game much longer. Mostly cause I'm allied to every strong nation left and I'd be stuck in the middle :)

I agree with Thanatos... If we can't continue playing, then we have to call it to an end :(

I'm okay with quiting. I was going to eliminate the fatimids in the next few turns for sure, and would probably reach the 70 for my win condition within the next 10 turns at most.

What a shame it had to end so suddenly and anti-climactically. Still we got a good long game out of it right?

I'm inclined to declare Nightbringer the winner as he has the most territories and least powerful enemies at this point. Also for his consummate professionalism in corner camping ftw

But if there is dissent I'll start a poll to decide it.

hey sjut because yous noobz cant play doenst mean i shoouldnt campz.

Seriously though, having the corner probably was my single biggest advantage in this game. I never fought anything but a one front war.
As for the game, it has been a great game for me and I had a fantastic time playing with/against all of you!

Surely it's possible to go back however many turns it takes to find a save that's uncorrupted? I'm fine with the break this has given me, but given that we're quite clearly in the end game it seems a shame to stop now.

Depends how far back Zim has already gone. This CTD might have been embedded for quite some time. No sense replaying 20 or so turns if it goes back that far, for example.

I'll see if I can take a closer look this weekend while I'm home for a couple of days.

I exaggerate but you never know with this stuff. I know from bitter experience with EB for example that sometimes these CTDs are pretty difficult to track down.

Yeah, only because you still HAD a country back then, AND enough forces to invade France XD

Also, play your turn in Frozen North, it's overdue T_T

I made a big mistake not taking France's offer of Pamplona. I should have realised what I was up against and taken it gratefully.

Did Rex offer Pamplona to you for peace??? You know, if you had of accepted that, Spain would have actually been better off than when France had invaded in the first place ^^
