I did some math and also tests. Till some point, yes, its worth it.
My ashi has hold firm and costs me 779 Koku, which is actual still a good price, if you consider the stats and the ability it gives.

Bansai and inspire is very questionable now, it can only work with cheap units, such as ashi, loan sword or light cav. Other units will be too expensive to get such an ability on it.
