I'm glad you asked because I've gotten further with the design since that was written. The original idea was that just one "bad" was enough to be scum...
Clarification (Will also be posted in rules when game starts):
Your popularity determines your victory condition.
Your favor with the DJ determines your secondary goal (depending on your VC).
Each player will also have a "flourish", sort of like a personal goal.
Each of these require the fulfilment of the former goals. Which means there are four scores available: Loss, VC fulfilled, VC + SG fulfilled, and VC, SG and flourish fulfilled (impressive!).
It is my hope that people will aim for their SGs and so on and consider this structure from the start, as some of the roles will require some planning if you're to have a good shot at the higher scores.
