At least he didn't kill anyone else. It's kind of hard to feel bad for after what he just posted on twitter, but he did produce some fairly funny stuff.

My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.

I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation.

Actually, he did kill someone. And anyone who denies that he was drunk may want to explain the photos of him red faced and googly eyed in a bar holding a drink. I know drunk, and that was drunk. I particularly thought the comment from Ms MAgera was humorous: "he would never do something so reckless and irresponsible as drink and drive." I mean really. Has she seen his work?

    unless they're also jack****s..

hey, he was twice over the limit (so was his passenger If I understand correctly), and 3 times the speeding limit (ok, I'm being rough in my estimates). he was inviting disaster.

does that mean he deserved to die, or asked for it? well, no (and I'm not saying anyone here thinks that). but his manner of death wasn't all that much of a shock. you're talking about a guy (I think him actually) who arranged for someone to drink...well, I don't want to make those who didn't watch it through up.

I'd disagree. Going 100+ mph with twice the legal blood alcohol limit is asking to die in my book.

I drove by the accident site today on my way home from a blood donation in the area. There were perhaps a dozen or so people there visiting the site. As expected there were a bunch of flowers and balloons along the road as well. The police had set up traffic cones to slow the traffic (speed limit in that section of road is to direct traffic is 55mph/90kph) due to the people along the road. I didn't notice a lot of detail other than brown leaves on the trees as I was trying not to create another accident by gawking. I expected to see the flowers, I did not expect to see mourners and the curious.

I wasn't saying he wasn't inviting disaster (I made it clear in my very first sentence that he was), but I did add that, and I now feel I need to paraphrase this, that he neither deserved it, nor did he necessarily want it, or voluntarily walk into it (it's not like he was saying, in sound mind and body:"drrp gee, let's crash and burn!"). I said that since, well, he was drunk. drunk people do all manner of stupid things, because they lose the ability to think straight.

he did however, voluntarily drink irresponsibly, and fail to find a designated driver, so either way you look at it, it is purely his fault.

in short: no one is, or was disagreeing with you..
