The sieging stack could be a problem if I lose the troops in Zagreb, but I do recall a bigger one nearby. I took too long checking up on something before I could take the save and hire some mercs to fight off the siegers. I'll consider myself lucky if none of those stacks attack me before the turn ends.

doh! well let's hope the defenders can fight them off...either that or you can just retake the city and sack it again for more cash

It's the bigger stack with cav that's more of a worry right?

This is a bit out of the blue, but I seem to remember incidents in the past where a general has died without there being a clear indicator as to why or when. Can anybody remember when/if this has happened?

EDIT: As might have been supposed, this is related to a possible problem with the save that needs to be resolved before it can posted.

Bad news guys, unless we want to live in a world where the Margrave is next in line to the throne I'm going to have to replay my battle to correct this apparent bug.

Which means you guys also need to replay...

in battle apparently - and like I say he was alive at the end of my battle, check the screenshots in the battle reports thread!

Did we get a notification of a captain turning traitor this turn, because captain Jobst with half my troops appears to have disappeared off the face of the planet. Did someone accidentally move him or has he just disappeared?

I looked around but saw no rebel army.

I can confirm that any captain led army that moved north of Innsbruck last turn was nowhere to be seen by the very very first save of this one. If one of the players did pull something, it was before the first official save of the turn.

I have absolutely nothing to do with it whatsoever. They were either bribed, disbanded by Cecil, removed in some other way or it's simply some strange bug. Whatever it is, I know no more about it than you.

Okay thanks, I had figured that was the case but you whistling made you seem very suspicious.

Looking at the saves I have no idea whether this disappearance is a legitimate part of the game, the result of a bug, or something else. Regardless though, it can be fixed at the beginning of next turn so we should keep things moving. Does anybody have any opinions?

It'd be great if you could fix it if it's a bug. I agree we should continue and maybe NB should just tell you where he was planning to move them.
