Damn, you noticed. I thought we would get away with that move. fluffy, Tratorix, and I knew it would be a big gamble to bandwagon to save Romanic and glyphz, but we figured it was a worthwhile risk to spare the people we have to kill. Yeah, it makes our job tougher, but we're from West Norway. That's how we roll in the Big W. WEST SIIIIDE 4 LIF!

I wish I could claim credit for this magnificent fiasco, but unfortunately I will be ruing it as much as the rest of the town. I think there's a Midgard Curse or something. Not only does the town always lose these games, the town always loses them badly. At least it's been an entertaining fiasco.

I could do very little...I didn't even get a duel which I have been seeking since round one. I can only hope I set a record for "Weakest townie that sent out the most challenges".

Edit:Not trying to be too hard on TinCow. I am just sad that nothing went right.

Perhaps it's late to be asking, but what exactly is the purpose of duels in these games? I assume the Jotun have godlike Holmgang abilities, so who does it help? This is my first Midgardsaga game, BTW.

Theoretically, they can be used to detect Jotun. We saw their ability to expose Gods twice this game, and it would be possible to do the same with Jotun. However, as far as I am aware they have never been used effectively (though I did not play Midgard I). IMHO, the only way for Holmgang to be used effectively as a mafia-detection device is for the town to restrain itself and to only do one challenge per night, and have that challenge include at least one town suspect. It's impossible to get townies to do that though, so it remains only a theoretical mafia detection device, not a practical one.

There is also a secondary purpose, which is fun. It gives townies something to do at night, even if it gets half of them killed.

The only way to win is to lynch ATPG. There were at least two jotun alive last night. If one of the kings is jotun then the game is already over because the other jotun will kill the remaining king and end it. Thus, it doesn't matter whether we lynch Romanic or glyphz, we lose either way. The only way we can win is if both kings are legit and we lynch a non-king. Thus, ATPG is the only lynch option.

I keep telling you people I'm not good at hunting scum, I'm only good at making people think I'm good at hunting scum. The problem is, I keep convincing myself of that as well. I blame my parents.

Basically, every townie here can point the finger at every other townie here, and we can all take turns tattooing a capital "L" on each other's foreheads.

I don't think there's one person here who isn't a Jotun who can honestly say they did a good job.
