"Alrighty! Mr. Thing, come on down!" Kage looked at the assembled crowd, expectantly. No one moved. "No? Anyone? Mr. Thing, where are you?" Several henchmen pointed at Johnny.

Kage's face brightened. "Mr. Thing! A pleasure to meet you." He bowed low.

"Uh, I'm me," said Johnny. "I'm not an alien."

"Of course you aren't, Mr. Thing," nodded Kage. "You're our most dearly respected guest." The evil overlord began pacing. "I'll admit I'm a bit disappointed you were caught this easily. You know, you cannot be a true partner for us if you cannot even fool a handful of n00b henchmen." Kage looked at Johnny. "I expected better of you. You may possess Ultranox Discombobulators, but clearly you do not have what it takes to infiltrate the enemy, sow chaos, and make them tear themselves apart. These are the true weapons of a mafioso."

"But, I'm not the Thing..." complained Johnny.

"If you are, then you are not worthy," said Kage, "and I am pleased to dispose of you. If you are not, then Mr. Thing is doing quite well and we are a step closer to obtaining a most excellent partner." CR did some air guitar. Kage pulled out a gun and aimed it Johnny's head.

"But, I" started Johnny. Before he could get any further, there was a loud bang and his body crumpled to the floor.

Kage peered at the corpse suspiciously for several moment. "Hmmm... that doesn't seem like a dead alien to me, what do you think Mr. Rabbit?" CR looked at Johnny's body. "Just looks like short, dead henchdude."

"Excellent!" Kage grinned, and did some air guitar. CR joined in.

"Alright, nothing left to see here," said Kage. "Get back to work. Remember, by morning we want the Room With The Giant TV Screen and Waterpark."

Lurking is awesome, even more improved with the flexibility granted as The Thing. Plus the town isn't even bothering to go after lurkers. If this was my second game as The Thing I would probably lurk more. But alas I have many things to try.

I posted as Silvio though, just not on Friday's round. But only you have proven yourself worth so far GH , lodging the one and only vote on me, albeit for only a few minutes before switching. And you finally spurred a good round of the game. Too bad I wasn't there to participate, but it turned out most excellent nonetheless.

Yeah, Blackadder's one of the easier people to emulate, IMHO (no offense, mate). Mostly one-liners and then the trademark, which is the lack of a colon after the usual Vote[:] Whoever posts.

And the lack of a K in Reenktuition was one of the factors that tipped me off that Pizza wasn't Reenk. Didn't want to say anything though, because it made it easier for me to distinguish who was who. Thanks for making it out in the open, jerk.

But I couldn't take seeing the wrong word over and over again. The only good part was that it was accompanied by a case on the wrong guy that Atpg was as certain of as Nick on Emilio. It bothered me as much as 'wenax'. Last round was almost as good as the Emilio debacle (I'll hold off on saying what it is just in case, but it's hilarious, and you guys can't blame Nick for it ).

Two henchmen were working The Big Board while behind them, in the distance, the sound of running water and splashing could be heard. One of the Board workers was getting annoyed. "Why do they get to play in the waterpark while we're stuck here doing all this wiring?"

The other henchman shrugged, "It matters not, at the rate we're going we'll all be dead within a few more days. This situation really needs to be taken more seriously."

"Oh, thanks Sherlock," scowled the first henchman. "I don't exactly see you spouting of fabulous revelations about who's body the alien is in right now. How can you expect the rest of us to do better?"

The second henchman raised an eyebrow. "Such reasoning as this for Demonstration, nothing but the obscurity of the Subject could have encouraged or induced the great Author of the Behavioralist Method to put upon his Followers, and nothing but an implicit deference to Authority could move them to admit. The henchman nodded warily at Wachugi, while his eyes darted back and forth looking for an escape. He was in a corner of the room though, and the only way out was past the alien. "We're... we're trying..."

Wachugi gave a small laugh. "And yet it should seem that, whatever errors are admitted in the Premises, proportional errors ought to be apprehended in the Conclusion, be they finite or infinitesimal: and that therefore the ἀκρίβεια of Behavioral Analysis requires nothing should be neglected or rejected. "Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee!" CR came gliding down the waterslide and landed with a loud splash in the central pool. He did a lazy backstroke while admiring The Big Board, its current display showing a map of the world with major cities highlighted for easy identification. "Not bad," he said to the assembled henchmen, "but does it get ESPN?"

Kage flipped the channel to a cricket match. CR cringed, "Please excuse my partners behavior, all the killings have made him slightly eccentric over the years. I have a theory that all cricket fans are actually mass murderers. In any case, looks like it's that time of the day again!" CR pulled himself up onto an inflatable raft and started sipping from the fruity cocktail that was stuffed in a nearby inflatable drink holder.

Kage turned around to look at the assembled crew. He opened a bag and pulled out a large sheet of bloody skin. It looked vaguely like Silvio's face. "As you can see, we still have a small problem here. We expect you to resolve it very soon, as your reduced numbers will start impacting the construction schedule. We really do not want to have to order more henchmen, it would make us very unhappy."

"Can we get a few more chicks next time?" asked CR.

I'm not sure I agree with GH on the point that Reenk wouldn't take over Nick, but the General was surely correct that we have to set up for the endgame. And what better way to do so than denying Reenk the chance to lurk? It will not only make it easier to find him, but it will also be more entertaining for all of us.

Two things:

One, in terms of what Reenk would or wouldn't do, my list from the previous round is now utterly obsolete, with the main reason being because Reenk will purposely look at it, see who I've crossed off, and take one of those people I've crossed off in order to stick it to us and keep having fun.

Two, I very much believe that Vinny is khaan (compare Vinny's inactivity in this game with khaan's delays in the Netherworld writeups recently). Does this mean that Vinny is still khaan? Absolutely not, but for now I'm going to pick an alternative lynch target, another inactive.
