No, TinCow's right, that actually does look more like a power having been used to a produce a wrong result than the result itself having been made up. Never mind about Erebus I think.

This strikes me as one of the things a "personal", red ability could be used for. Probably only a few times during the course of a game or it would just wreck investigators.

    You're keeping in step
    In the line
Got your chin held high and you feel just fine
    Because you do
    What you're told
But inside your heart it is black and it's hollow and it's cold

Just how deep do you believe?
Will you bite the hand that feeds?
Will you chew until it bleeds?
Can you get up off your knees?
Are you brave enough to see?
Do you want to change it?

    What if this whole crusade's
    A charade
And behind it all there's a price to be paid
    For the blood
    On which we dine
Justified in the name of the holy and the divine

Just how deep do you believe?
Will you bite the hand that feeds?
Will you chew until it bleeds?
Can you get up off your knees?
Are you brave enough to see?
Do you want to change it?

    So naive
I keep holding on to what I want to believe
    I can see
But I keep holding on and on and on and on

Will you bite the hand that feeds you?
Will you stay down on your knees?

The Anachronism hour with Saucy Slice

"Good morning, Fatlington. This is your host of The Anachronism Hour, DJ Saucy Slice. The crime wave continues... and the criminals responsible are still at large. The song you just heard was The Hand That Feeds, from Nine Inch Nails. As the... remaining... police search high and low for the mafia, we have time for News Cruise! with Askthepizzaguy."

    *VROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!

"So, Ask, can you tell us what happened?"

Askthepizzaguy: "Last night, the following Fatlings were attacked and survived: Askthepizzaguy, Drunk Clown, Edse, Erebus, and Psychonaut.

However, the following Fatlings were attacked and did not survive: Lord Brennus, Bow-wow-wow, slysnake, and Suburban Plankton.

Police reports are understandably hard to come by, but in this reporter's opinion, this is what happened:

Askthepizzaguy was attacked by a team of five vigilantes, whose plan would have worked flawlessly if it weren't for an incredible team of defenders, at least one trio of hotshot Fatlings who stopped the plan from succeeding on their own, but it would seem at least TWO doctors [.30 browning machine guns are a giveaway] which is unusual, plus additional skilled defenders rounding out the team. I have insider knowledge of this particular event; the doctor promotion squad is ensuring that others ALSO promote. In short, our efforts to create skilled defenders are nearing completion and are already massively successful.

Lord Brennus was attacked by one pair of mafia gangsters using a calling card I do not believe we've seen before; a severed toe. Not only that, but he was finished off by another pair of mafia gangsters apparently from the very same family. This is not good news.

Drunk Clown seemed to be attacked by one vigilante or gangster wannabe. It would seem the attack failed due to insufficient manpower alone.

Bow-wow-wow was attacked by a skilled band of five vigilantes with tommy guns, which would have succeeded in slaying mister Bow on their own, but he was finished off by a further band of six vigilantes with shotguns. He never stood a chance, as there was no one present to offer protection.

Edse was attacked by apparently four vigilantes. They were too few in number to finish the job. Later, he was attacked by more vigilantes, but Edse got lucky.

Slysnake was attacked and killed by a pair of faux Russian gangsters with PIAT launchers, the same we've seen before.

Suburban Plankton was killed by the same "Sewards Folly" pair of gangsters we've seen before.

Erebus was attacked by a team of highly skilled vigilantes, and survived only by luck alone.

And finally, the cat is out of the bag, Askthepizzaguy is the one responsible for all of the failed "Neutral Avenger" killings. Apparently his lone crusade to rid the world of mafia scum is ineffective because he's too much of a klutz to do the job alone, wiseguy or not. Sorry folks. My attack on Psychonaut last night revealed my identity quite conclusively.

Take that scanners! Bite me! I ain't mafia and I ain't going mafia! MWAHAHAHAHA!!! All your scans are worthless I tells you!

    And that's everything, Saucy."

"Oh my god. I didn't know you were such a crazed lunatic, Askthepizzaguy. Back after these messages. What a death toll.... still, the efforts on both the attacking and defensive sides of La Resistance are not only overpowering but unmatched. They are to be commended, whoever they are."

Here is the PM conversation I had with Monty on N1. He contacted me first, probably due to something I said in thread:

What a lol. And here I'd even asked a detective to investigate you for N3. Perhaps you'd like me to call that off?
Make of that what you will. I would prefer to get rid of Monty, but by the same token I don't have the time to organize a succesfull hit.

“The committee’s second lynch choice is hard to evaluate.” Subotan initially appeared guilty to our evaluators, but further review found that the evidence against him was related to a case four years ago in Asbury Park – a case that had already been solved. That evidence had been edited to look as though Subotan were part of it and guilty as sin, but one of the investigators had worked that case and knew that it simply wasn’t true – someone had planted it. We are unsure what was going on there or why. They were able to determine that Subo’ was a minor criminal – a wiseguy – but there was no apparent connection to any mafia activity.

As big a coup it is to catch two scum in one day, you can't just lynch two of ANYONE. The average Joe Six Pack is most likely town.

AgonyKing: Would it really make sense for a serious mafioso to do that?

TheStranger: Not only is he a 3rd-party role, but he can alter investigation results as well? Seems far-fetched.

Ishmael: I guess we can assume that he wasn't in fact scum? And if he does turn out to be scum, what about slash and earn? Do we assume him to be a similar case to ACIN, or do we go ahead and lynch?

Its Askthepizzaguy, him and his single-man attacks on random people, and his so-called neutral position.

Also, TinCow was clearly the FatlingtonPD email contact. He challenged Erebus about Erebus thinking the first night's investigation targets were unlikely, and he voted MRD in the wake of the reveal of MRD's criminal result, from the same source. I have to think he had more than just criminal on MRD given his insistence and his role.

No he didn't. He talked about dodgy detectives. You're talking about him altering somebody else's investigation results.

And why'd you change your vote after saying you would abstain? Afraid to vote the scummy doc, thought the Sigurd wagon was safer?

That was a long time ago that TinCow referred to MRD as a Luca. I'm amazed you remembered it, I never would have. Yes, I'm insinuating you remember it for a reason.

TinCow wasn't born yesterday. Drop dead bandwagons reveal nothing. Iffy uncertain ones, on the other hand? Full of information. Like just maybe someone saying he's going to abstain, then inexplicably changing his mind when the dead townie offers a tasty and safe bandwagon.

Of course, I disagree with your analysis.

Bandwagons of any sort will reveal anything you want them to, I'm afraid. After all, we presuppose our conclusions when we examine them in retrospect.
