Sweboz tips

Hi everyone, I've only recently started playing EB (and what a fantastic mod it is), and I'm on my second campaign with the Sweboz (VH/M), I didn't exactly lose the first time but I got bogged down and reached a stalemate in the west with the Aedui and the Romans. I've started again and am doing my best to avoid this now, and I could do with a few tips.

1. People have said that it's best to hug the forests, as a lot of troops get bonuses in there. Problem is; I can't see jack shit when I'm fighting in woods, is there any mods that can maybe turn them into tree stumps or something?

2. Should I go for quickly trying to knock out the gauls and the romans? Or should I expand my borders and get a nice economic base first?

3. What are the best regions to make vassal states? I managed to get a couple of regions that could make baleric (that's not right)m spearmen/slingers. Which regions produce decent sword infantry and crucially cavalry? As much as I love the poor foot-sloggers a lot of battle would have been a lot easier if I had a unit of cavalry or two, and it put a dent in my income having to fork out 4-5k mnai on mercenary horsemen.

Any other tips?

You'll need tier 4 factional MIC for Germanic horsemen and tier 4 foreign MIC for Celtic horsemen.
