Thread: DARKLING [Concluded]

  1. #301

    Default Re: DARKLING

The crowd dispersed. Only one remained behind, to look after the body of the fallen. The figure knelt down, mourning the loss of such a powerful and beautiful creature.
Could this be the same "figure" that was a Jarrema's house?

    Hmm...

I have to intervene - I refuse to allow two quintuple posts in two pages.

In regards to the write-up of Lazy McCrow visiting Jarema, I think it was just written in the 'mindset' of Lazy's character - he appears to be fairly devout. The fact that he's been in all the action so far seems to speak against him being scum, to my mind, as they'd normally try to avoid the spotlight.

Wouldn't mind seeing your head on the chopping block either. And that last comment makes me think strongly in that.

You and Lazy need to die in my opinion.

Funny you should say that Visorslash, I was considering visiting you tonight as I thought you'd been acting a bit off in this game.

Off? I assume you mean absent. This is one of my first free days in two weeks.

You're going to visit me. I am scared beyond belief.

No, off as in...different. There's something about your posting style in this game that I can't quite put my finger on that just seems strange. I figured that visiting you might be a way to find out if my suspicions were justified, but then I realised that if you were a snarling demonic killer I'd probably die before I had the opportunity to share my findings.

EDIT: For example, your analysis of Lazy's account on the previous page seems to lack substance. You make a few stylistic quibbles, but nothing that seems suspicious or can't be easily explained (as I've said).

It looks a bit like a possible bussing to me, but eh.

I still think that Arjos had it right on page 6 or whatever it was.

don't buy this wagon on Jarema, seems too "lucky" for a visit to scan the mafia and then in the write-up refers to it as a "large figure"...
Since Lazy was visiting Jarema's house, in he dark he simply called out his name...
I suppose that might seem possible if one hadn't been paying attention, but seems a bit unlikely, given that I switched my vote from Montmorency to Jarema on Day 1: calling him out as bandwaggoning scum, not to mention the fact that it says in big letters in the write-up that 'Lazy McCrow Survived' implying that I was the one attacked.
That first reason. Pure gold. You should've stuck to the second reason. The first reason makes you look like a scumbag to me. Using vote records.

I think this is entirely possible, except for the fact that I am certain that I was attacked by Jarema. I'm still viewing Jarema as the threat, or; if not Jarema then someone has made it look like it was Jarema that attacked me.
Oh, really. DId you recieve a certain PM saying that you were attacked by Jarema? No? I didn't think so either. So you cannot be certain.... It might have said you were attacked at Jarema's house, not attacked BY Jarema.

That's not necessarily a scum role of sorts.

In That Creeping Darkness, Renata and I were psychic lovers. If one of us died. the other had the option to go crazy and kill everyone (eventually) or just become an even better pro-town role than previously.

So, yeah, I would say that Whitey and some guy were lovers, and if one died, the other goes serial killer. I highly doubt that he would have an option in this case due to the smaller player list.

We gave Lazy a chance earlier by allowing him to survive and we lynched Jarrema. That turned out to ge a good thing for the town, so why not do it again?

Tbh all we saw Jarema doing, was eaiting his own flesh and using a metal bar to "attack" Lazy...
If he really was a demonic creature, wouldn't he be able to dunno rip to pieces people or something with his own strength?

White_eyes at least could turn invisible, Jarema in the write-up seemed like a "possessed" victim to me...
Plus in my stupidity, shouldn't Jarema's picture be called "The Darkling" or whatever? WE's file name is Witch at least...

Visorslash strikes me as completely off-track, but I don't really get a scummy vibe off of him. Just a really weird one.

You were visiting each other and both got a weird result so one of you must be lying.

    Vote:classical hero

Lazy has been leading the last two lynches (probably successful ones) so he can't be mafia. whatever that fivedouble post on last page was.

Edit: Sorry about the delay. This is now day four of being violently ill. Apologies.

Hi everyone, really sorry about the delay.

I'll do one writeup, and then later on this evening I'll do the other one. If you need to send in night actions, you're already late. But send them in, okay? Anytime before I do the writeup is fine.

This isn't going to be spectacular but here goes.

    Township of New Eden
    11th January, 1612 A.D.

    8:00 PM

The crowd advanced on classical_hero, certain that he was guilty, a witch, or worse.

"I'll have you know I'm completely innocent! Leave me alone!" said Mister Hero, as he pulled a long, deadly looking blade from the folds of his jacket.

"I'm afraid I can't do that, Hero. You see, you've been judged guilty by the fine citizens of this town. That means you must face the penalty..." said Askthepizzaguy, who just finished coughing up a lung.

"I'm totally innocent! Stay back or I'll murder you!" said Hero.

"What are you, Mister Hero? You're obviously not a man. You're some kind of foul creature. What do they call you, where you come from?"

"Lynch bait. Seriously, when have you guys ever lynched me and been right?" said Hero.

"I'll hear no more of this. GET HIM!!!" roared Pizzaguy.

And so the crowd advanced on the hapless butcher, who vowed to go out fighting. He was cornered, but he would make his accusers pay. That is, until he saw that the crowd was armed with pistols, and the Magistrate was wielding the familiar blunderbuss or "shotgun" as he called it.

"Yipe." said Mister Hero, suddenly feeling less heroic.

The smoke from their weapons could be seen from miles away. The sounds of gunfire reverberated throughout the town. Classical_hero fell to the ground, dropping his butcher knife. He was unrecognizeable, missing most of his head. And the rest of it wasn't in very good shape, either.

"No, it's awful... just let me die... just let me die!" cried Visorslash.

"There's nothing more I can do. It's only a matter of time... before..." said the Doctor.

"The pain is more than I can bear... please just put me out of my misery..." shouted BSmith.

The Magistrate nodded. "More of our own have been claimed by the deadly and unspeakable disease that melts flesh. The culprit for all this is clear... the Darklings still walk among us, inflicting terrible pain and death upon us.

If they are not stopped, our entire village will be destroyed..."

They eyed one another suspiciously. Who was behind all this?
