    Plasma cutter is awesome and remains usefull the entire game but I tend to go with the ripper instead. A maxed out line-gun is death itself though. It also looks and sounds incredibly cool.

    I used the ripper for those gorilla things - stasis, duck behind him and ripper his spine apart. Does surprising amounts of damage rendering those guys much less difficult to kill.

    Otherwise plasma cutter all the way and line gun if you have some ammo and are in one of those setups where lots of similar guys are coming down a catwalk towards you.

    Am I the only one who hated the weightless sections? I just found them really annoying..

    Quite ejoyed these, it's a big ship! I only REALLY hated the asteroids. Mini games are only fun if they aren't a huge barrier for progression, it was not fun and completely out of place

    I just completed the asteroid mini-game at my first try, needless to say, I'm quite happy with that.

    Currently got the line-gun and just the standard gun (plasma cutter?). It's enough for me. Line-gun for those gorilla things and clustered enemies.
    Also almost maxed out my standard gun.

    BTW, is it worth it to keep some nodes in case you need one for a door?

    Of course what's a good horror-game without checkpoint abuse. Look what's there, reload save-game. Note on ammo, if you have a line-gun the game will always give you the proper ammo, goes for every weapon. It will never feel like enough on hard, but it really is enough. I still suggest sending the plasma-cutter on piano-lessons and making the ripper your main gun. Not only is it awesome to wield a hovering circle saw, it also does exactly what you would expect from a hovering circle saw

    Wait, wait, wait...
    There are MORE weapons than just the plasma cutter?!

    Personally, I prefer the Ripper as a secondary weapon since it's brutal in close quarters and takes down those damn chocobos easily at range.

    The beam thing is useful only against the bloated gas thingies in the hydroponics level. Otherwise not so much.

    But you can use kinesis and an explosive for that.

    By the way I have also played Dead Space on the iphone, it's not bad actually! But nothing at all new if you've played the original game. I got bored half way and didn't finish it.

    I had the Plasma Cutter, the Line-Gun, Contact Beam and The Ripper.

    Had to sell The Ripper because I would get ridiculous amounts of ammo for The Ripper and almost nothing for my other weapons. And I never even used The Ripper anyways.

    Contact Beam is nearly useless too btw.
