Nice work btw! I particularly like the look of irritation on the face of the Phalangite who's sarissa has broken. Like Maeran said the helmets are very good!

Having considered it I will award a balloon to Finn's Phalangite battle and for NoHelmet's Sassanid cataphract (it's only done in graphite but you can feel the weight of that man).

First of all lets decide the organization issues. As an option, it is possible to create a thread somewhere in the Mead Hall, Frontroom, or any other more appropriate place. There would be the rules of the competition. Also there would be final poll to find the winners.

As for the rules, it depends of the number of people. There might be the following nominations: epic battles, portraying single unit (like NoHelmet's Sassanid cataphract), and portraying the famous person of the 272 BC- 14 AD time frame.

Yes, the timeframes are from 272 BC to 14 AD. Same rules as here Additional recommendation - no elephants.

Need I say more. Excellent! Likewise Ramesses II nice effort. Ok I am just back from a wee break, will try and get a more professional thread going this weekend with the help of the moderators. Myself and Finn seem to have some good ideas lines up which should result in a very varied competition. So watch this space for more info!
