You seem awfully hung up on posts that are clearly not meant to be taken seriously. Especially in General Hankerchief's case, seeing as a mafioso trying to save his partner by pretending the vote was closed would be not only incriminating himself, but his buddy too, and I can't see GH risking that.

Vote: GeneralHankerchief for reasons I stated last phase (post #226). You still haven't answered my question GH, from last phase, what your "voting closed" post was all about. I think you tried to manipulate us, and the vote tally. Not very townie behavior at all.

Why thanks Chaotix, this may explain why GH posted the "voting closed" post, he was trying to manipulate the vote to protect or bus you, his mafia partner. As you were tied for 1st with Seon at the time. Then you come to his defense, how sweet, trying to get me off this idea, by accusing me. But my friend, why can't he tell me that himself, he hasn't been around for a while, this phase or the last. Is he trying to wait this out, so he doesn't have to answer for his post. And as for it being a joke, I don't see it, it came out of left field, no other explanation, no one ask when the phase was ending in previous post... no I feel that you and GH are mafia, simple as that.

What kills me the most about all of this is that my defense for this was actually already in the thread before any of you actually voted me for it.

I originally posted "Voting closed" as a joking way to set up what I thought would be a funny in-universe defense - ATPG, the actual host, naturally ignores my "official" post, which clears me of any wrongdoing. As expected, one of you took the bait...

I object! You are participating as a player, so you cannot possibly hold any position of host-authority.

...to which I immediately responded with the infallible logic that would clear me forever:

Bam, you just proved why I'm innocent.

That was it. The joke was already over. It had - I thought - just been explained in full. Everybody could have a nice little chuckle about my cunning sense of humor and then get on with their mafia-lives.

Evidently not.

I guess I need to spell out the exact purpose of every joke post I make in the future.

Panting, GeneralHankerchief woke up from a horrible nightmare. A world where nobody wanted to play vanilla games anymore.

Instead, everyone still wanted to play them, whether he hosted them or not. And he was still a beloved game host... so popular that the people of the Gameroom demanded that be become the host of this Large Mafia, and even gave him shiny badges to honor his service. And so they voted him host in a landslide. They thought he was just scummy enough to host This Mafia. The good General was named Game Host on the spot.

And as GeneralHankerchief began to randomize who the two scumbags were, and prepared to send out exactly two role PMs, someone sneaked up behind him and strangled him with a garrote.

Apparently he wouldn't be hosting this Mafia, due to a much more pressing engagement with the angel of Death.
