Remember this tally, this is the tally that has all of the meaning.

Ishmael is not one of the vote-getters. Ishmael and SalmonSoil fail to get much in the way of pressure or votes all game. Which means the mafia and the town are both not really voting for them. So why are they alive?

Note also that SalmonSoil and Ishmael have both conspired to get Jarema lynched throughout the game. Both want him dead, indicating he's neither of their partners, which means that under the circumstances, if Jarema were guilty, Salmon or Ishmael would have been murdered by now. Hell, he'd have murdered any of you folks trying to lynch him by now.

Ishmael's late vote here in the above tally is to get a vote down and intentionally does not decide the tie! It reeks of cowardice that no townie should ever have. He deserves death for that ALONE, never mind his lousy vote record.

Salmon votes often, never gives much in the way of reasons, and given how his vote has been all over the place, he should have been considered a THREAT to the mafia by now. Yet the mafia continue to choose not to murder him, even though he's not in much danger of a lynch.

Who remains besides Ishmael and SalmonSoil?

Atheotes who is always a target of suspicion, doesn't speak much. Possibility of not voting in a round.
Jarema, the appointed scapegoat of the game, who is unsympathetic and will likely draw votes. Target of my two top suspects for the lynch, easiest vote.
LazyMcCrow, who has also been beating up on Jarema for a while.

Does Jarema really look guilty? Everyone has been trying to kill him except atheotes. So let's explore that option next.

Atheotes has been voting mainly for Arjos. As such, he was no threat to the scums all game. He's not said or done much else. This also fits his usual style of doing his own thing and trying to get his suspects lynched, but with a minimum of "I accuse you, because...".

Difference between him and SalmonSoil is that Salmon's vote has been all over the place, trying to control and influence the rounds. Atheotes seems to not give a poop what happens, no matter who is under pressure. Which indicates that Salmon has more to lose.

Atheotes' vote for Arjos is probably why Arjos and Atheotes were both kept around for so long. No threat to the scum and were likely to keep themselves divided.

Atheotes didn't break pattern which means he never had an interest in resolving the round a certain way, as a scum likely might. He was also no threat to Ishmael or SalmonSoil. I don't see collusion and I don't see scummy interest in deciding the round.

But there's a difference between Atheotes and Ishmael. As you saw, ishmael failed to decide a round as well. But that's breaking pattern, here, Ishmael obviously does want to decide a round. He just didn't want to decide a round that resulted in the death of a townie during the middlegame and waited until the rest of yall voted to place his completely ineffective on purpose vote down.

Atheotes dogged a suspect all game, which shows intent to kill. Ishmael DODGED responsibility for a lynch, which shows intent to survive. That's the difference in behavior.

Atheotes isn't scum because of his behavior pattern which indicates noninterest, and single-minded consistency. Not usually indicative of scum because scum need to live IN THE MOMENT of each particular round.

Jarema is not scum because everyone wants him dead and he's a likely lynch, and he's not effective at persuading others to follow his cases at times.

LazyMcCrow is the wildcard because he's one of the more talkative people this game.

He voted for Autolycus, Nightbringer, Jarema (again, not Jarema's partner... and Jarema voted him back), and on that round, Lazy was going to end up being probably the lynch, but SalmonSoil came back and pushed Edse over the edge. But, Salmon then came back and voted for Lazy on the very next round, for "being active but not voting" which is a killing sentence.

That's not a "oooooo let me distance myself from my partner" thats "kill this man", loosely translated from my mafia-english dictionary.

Lazy is not Salmon's partner.
Jarema is not Salmon's partner.
Atheotes is too consistent. I don't believe it is him.

As such, SalmonSoil absolutely positively has to die. I didn't throw my weight around this entire game, but he cannot be allowed to survive the game. Period.

Ishmael is basically just as guilty, for his own reasons, plus the fact that he's Salmon's most likely snuggle bunny. They didn't even distance themselves from each other, or talk to each other... they ignored each other's existence.

The silence is deafening. They're talking to each other, but not here. On the scum topic.
