The problem is all of you think you know everything, you don't.

This problem is compounded by the second problem, your posts are to damn long. 75% of the posts back here contradict themselves. If a thread goes longer than a few pages, it is nothing but contradictions

Back in my day people read, contemplated, synthesized, and formed their own opinions from there. Now one of you gets your hands on "The Road to Serfdorm" and parrots those opinions on here as if you were some intellectual heavyweight.

Even worse is those posts, which are so shallow they look liked they were ripped straight from some type of punditry.

I basically only post back here blitzed drunk anymore because I see the same mouth breathing opinions. The only threads I start are things that tip my outrage meter
Ah, so da problem is all dem peoplez dat disagreez with ya! I seez it allz perfectly now!
Don't forget Strike, that you (and everyone in the world) form their opinions by looking at data that is mostly presented by others, and listening to other's arguments and weighing and analyzing them. Being influenced by someone does not make you an intellectual lightweight.
I find it funny that that should be your argument, when half of the posts you make when not drunk out of your mind sound like they come directly from one far-left blog or another.

There are well-read, intellectual people on both sides of nearly all arguments on this forum. Stop being so typically petty and making excuses for your less-than-stellar posting behavior.

That hasn't happened. "Holocaust Denial" content was removed from the site later on though, mostly as did not have any actual arguments involved and legal complications. Any infractions or bans have been given out based upon the rules in the FAQ thread.

I like the backrrom. I like getting smacked down by PJ and Lemur, and flip flopping all the time as new information and arguments are presented. For example, this week, I hate pickles. In real life, I punch myself in the balls when I think I am dreaming.

This place would be much better if people would get together and meet more often, and post pictures and what nots, maybe have a barbecue or shirtless volleyaball game. When I open my restaurant in Guam, called The Org, which will be a precursor to Cheap Steak and Quality Hoes Inc in the Philippines, I expect everyone from the Org to visit, where they will enjoy a 25% markup on all products.

But maybe I can get an exception for you, since I will get to use your couch and your liquor.

Not to mention You could get to borrow my ski instructor jacket, being talked up among anyone working there, in one of the coolest resort in Europe... Endless possibilities, really.

    CLEARLY misread of me though.

    The Backroom must continue.

This is my refuge. w/o the backroom 8yrs of Bush would have made me slit my wrists-and I don't even live in the U.S.A.

Once Cheap Steak and Quality Hoes Inc opens I may have a new sanctuary...will it have a 4G hot spot?

The ban was temporary, he hasn't returned since.

I think it can be quite daunting to get involved in the Backroom when there's an established consensus between the long-term patrons, but how can we combat that sense of a cliqué and bring new members into the fold? The Backroom (along with Froggy's guides) consistently attracts more patrons than the rest of the Org, so how can we capitalise on that?

In so far as a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, I find that these "Christian" fundamentalists are easily scared off by acking them to consider the Bible in terms of books and chapters, rather than single verses.

An excellent question, which I feel I must respectfully redirect towards yourself.

You went through a brief period of posting semi-regularly here, then you stopped and rarely do we see you now. If I had to take a stab at why that was I would guess it's because this is rather like the smokiy and dimly lit Backroom of a rural Inn, full of drunken and vaguely threatening men of various ages.

Personally, I think we must look like a bunch of reprobates - but I also happen to think that if we were allowed to run the world to run the world we'd have it sorted in under six months, or everybody would be dead.
