Statement of His Holiness Pope Gregory XVI:

Our Blessings and Prayers are with all the Monarchs and people of Europe.

We note with especial pleasure the endeavours of the His Most Catholic Highness Kaiser Franz Joseph I of Austria and Hungary to liberate those Christians who for so long have had to endure persecution and torment under Ottoman Rule. We commend and pray also for our Eastern brethren of Greece and Russia, Czar Nikolas and King Othon, who have once again taken up such a rightful union and accord. Today we have signed a new Papal Bull naming Fransiscus Josephus of Austria & etc Fidei Defensor and sent him our own Holy Banner to guide his armies. To the Czar we send a fragment of the True Cross.

To our most the Most Learned Patriarchs of Moscow and Constantinople we send salutation and invitation to a Grand Synod.

We are most troubled by the disturbances in France, Italy, Hungary and Poland. A Monarch is unto his people as a wise father to a child. If you have cause for complaint, if you have been scolded too often, then speak out but taking up a stick to your father is contrary to the Gospel. Rather believe that God himself will provide your Salvation as he did with Isaac. We pray that all Monarchs will remember that they are raised by God to their places of care for their people and in this regard we heartily welcome the recent statement of the Louis Philippe, King of the French.

May God be with you all.

The account has been suspended until further notice, and thus the player requires replacing. If I can help find a new player, I will do whatever I can to facilitate that.

Sorry, I have no idea about this suspension thing. I seams as if Prussia was cursed. No one on the replacement list. By the way, it would be great to have a player for Greece, too, as it seems to become a great power.

OOC: I just realized I have no idea the full extent of my trade agreements, the only countries I am 100% sure I'm trading with is with China, Austria and the Ottoman empire. I assume I'm trading with the concert and the USA, but I'm not sure where else, could I get a list please?

Majority of English trade is with the Empire. Free trade with Austria that I know of for certain. First Opium War ended in 1842 and under the Treaty of Nanking is here:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treaty_of_Nanking

British trade with the US has grown since the 1812 war.

Speech of Franz Joseph I, The Austrian Emperor at Vienna,

Citizen´s of Austrian Empire and all Europeans,

This is a historical day. Ever since the fall of Constantinople and Battle of Mohacs, Central and Eastern Europe has fought the Turk defending Europe from their endless invasions. Countless generations of my fore fathers have fought the Turk, with various Christian King´s and Prince´s in order to preserve Europe from the Crescent Moon. Twice the Turk has been standing at the gates of this very city and twice they have been thrown back to east.

Today i can tell you,my honourable countrymen, that the centuries old dream of all the Emperor´s,Prince´s, Duke´s and Elector´s of the Holy Roman Empire, with the blessing of our Holy Father the Pope is upon us. All Balkan´s is rising as one man against the Turk. Bosnian, Serb´s, Albanian, Greek, Wallachian and Bulgarian´s are all ready to overthrow the tyranny of the Turk. At such time, i call for all the allies of ours to raise arms for this historical task. Any Prince that call´s him Christian should follow in suite. The mighty Russian Empire stands together with us and more Christian Kingdoms are following the example we have set forth.

At such time, unity is essential. Now is not the time to argue among ourselves, but stand united against a common foe. We understand the need for people to express their opinions and because of that. The Imperial Government will introduce a two chambered Imperial Parliament, where all the administrative areas will have their elected representatives, so peoples voices are heard. We approve that, but any man, more so in dire situation like this, who raises arms against his own country, should be assumed Unlawful and even Godless, when their actions might hamper our great task. So we ask for any man now who has raised the flags of rebellion, to lay down their arms and return to their lawful lives and the Empire will forgive them, like a father forgives their children for reckless act without malice determination, but those who will not heed our words, only thing that waits, is the salary of traitor.

Only with such determination can we fulfill the dream that once could only be whispered, a dream that now should be shouted out from the bottom of ones lungs. Free Europe from Turk!

Franz Joseph I Emperor of Austria

Vizier is but a single man. P

In fact many of the high ranking administrators in Ottoman Empire were originally Eastern Europeans from Ottoman domains that were made as slaves of Sultan. Just like the famous janissary corps originally was.

The Prussian suggestion to the Ottoman question:

Since there is no preventing the triumph of Christian Arms over the Turk, it is the suggestion of His Majesty that a greek kingdom is created on the European territories of the Ottoman Empire, with the exclusion of Thrace. Thrace, and its anatolian territories should be created as a reconstituted Byzantine Empire, as there is no denying that a shared cultural heritage makes them more suited to become a single state than an artificial separation between different geopolitical entities.

Prussia would support such a solution, and propose Friedrich Heinrich Albrecht von Hohenzollern as Emperor.

This year, there will be the first international Chess tournament at the Café de la Régence at Paris.
The first fotbal-club is found at Paris: Royal Paris-Versailles.

(The French Fotbal Federation offers licnses to all other countries but will keep the TV rights for the next three centuries. TV is something you do not have but what is currently tested in the TechLabs at Sorbonne).

Due to recent events her majesty's government has recently announced the upcoming deployment of the 3rd, 4th and 5th fleet, as of now all traders in the eastern mediteranian are now under the protection of Britain and any ship, regardless of nationality, found attacking trading vessels in the eastern mediterainian, outside of the contested region of the agean sea and the region around cyprus, will be siezed or sunk by the Royal Navy.

    OOC: Orders sent!

    IC:

The prussian navy, including 2 new ships-of-the line will begin operations to rid the Baltic of pirates. H.M. urges the rulers of Russia, Sweden, and Denmark to join him in this holy enterprise, and protect the legitimate traders of all nations plying their trade in the Baltic sea.

In order to provide coordination and leadership to the operation, the countries with interests in the Baltic are invited to join the Danzig Council of Piracy set up to deal and advise the Navy on how to best deal with this problem.

    Admiral Adalbert

PS: It is unnecessary to remind all Prussians and other citizens that the penalty for Banditry and piracy in Germany is death.

His Majesty, the King of France sees the harsh message of the socalled sultan as a declaration of war. Therefore he decided to join Austria and Russia to create a the forces of the willing to execute the communique of the Concert. His majesty already sent his Royal Navy and the Royal French army to give the right answer to the Turks.

Any ship, regardless of nationality, found supporting the Ottoman Empire or threatening Greece or the operational area of France, Austria or Russia will, will be siezed or sunk by the Royal Navy.

The area around Cyprus and along the coasts of the Levantin and Egypt are combat zone and closed for all foreign nations.
