As much as I would like to blame Zaccino and call for a mutiny, the hit on me was almost certainly designed as a frame job, though a rather obvious one.

A mutiny? So early? That be strange. There be cannonballs on yon rack if necessary.

Strange? The Captain gets a mighty nice salary and a nice safe bunk to sleep in. Why do you think I wanted the position in the first place? I will happily join in any mutiny whenever the rest of you get tired of Captain Boring.

I told you - I didn't need it anymore. Why would I pay for that which I don't require?

I'll have you know I protected Tincow myself, as you guys were too sore to accept my cash for that.

Who would do it? The Mafia need two to kill. There was only one attacker. It seems obvious that the only possibilities are the First Mate or an SK/Vig.

A bit premature for all that mutiny talk. lad. I for one want to see if Captain Boring also happens to be Captain Honorable.

Now then, the lying blaggard who is too chicken to go a single day without begging for the mercy of protection from his mates, afear'd of ghosts n' spirits, making promises he doesn't deliver on, regardless of his true allegiance, is not a pirate to me, but a yellow-backed booby bird.

And I want to see the bird fly. TO THE PLANK WITH THIS LYING BASTARD!!!

Aw, pity the poor little pirate, someone didn't keep his promise to personally deliver mushy gold applesauce directly to his ragged, scurvy-toothed mouth.

You count yourself to be a real pirate then, lad?

Thanks for admitting to be a liar. Everyone heard your lies.

I could have been doing something more profitable, and instead you wasted my time cowering in a corner whimpering about needin' help protecting your sorry flea-bitten hind end. I don't want to hear another sound out of your gullet, except the sloshing sounds of blood gurgling within it!

Death to the lying traitors aboard this here ship!

There's nothing in the write-up that makes me suspect the kill would have succeeded. Indeed, the fight seemed to be a stalemate before the protection trio showed up. Maybe I would have died without them, maybe not, it's impossible to tell from the information given. Given the number of inactives we have, it's entirely possible that it was a single mafioso whose partner did not show, or even a random solo townie.

I'm not calling for a mutiny, I'm just letting it be known that, when the time inevitably comes, I remain willing to weigh myself down with the massive burden and great vulnerability for the good of you all.

I wasted your time, oh? Looks like none of us desired your services, then. The market's saturated, boyo.

But real pirates don't ask for handouts and complain about being unable to find paying work. Get thee gone, landlubber. Lily-livered poliwogs like you aren't good for this ship, it's crew, or the fine ladies of Nassau.

Hypothetically speaking, if a random solo townie attacked someone all by their lonesome, would such an action appear in the update?

Also, that could not possibly have been the only attack last night, could it?

It was. It's like Capo, and other games of its type, sure enough.

Your strategy is to sit on your gold hoard, Zaccino. That's fine.

All night attacks appear in the writeup, even if it's just one random townie attacking the Captain who's protected by literally every single other crewman on board.

I read you loud and clear, my dear friend made of Tin. A perfectly honorable position to take.

Should some evil befall the Captain, you'd be willing to make the ultimate sacrifice and take his place, fer the good o' the ship. It brings a tear to me eye, really.

Now then, I realize this lying little rat is an annoyance only to me and my few mates offerin' our services, but I ask ye all on this ship to bring him to justice, just this once. To serve as a warning, that if you offer gold in public fer somethin', ye don't back out of it. Thar be false advertisement, lads. Any Pirate Lawyer would rip open his belly and call it justice.

I respectfully request Monty's death, here today. And I would be grateful to all who supported me on this.

My wager is if they were promised gold for services that had been rendered (meaning, all of us showed up and even sent the order already) and the person making the gold offer backed out, they would be demandin' not just a plank walkin, but to have the limey fool's head torn clean off!

The plank is too good for ye. Be grateful it's there.

And by the way, protectin' your sorry hind end might have been honest work. But when you said you had groups comin' out of the woodwork, and then offered us less gold than promised to protect someone who called for your own death, I smelled a rat. I'm not going to be a party to taking orders from someone with delusions of controllin' everyone on the ship. We've all had our fill o' that in recent history. If you wanted protection, fine, but I'm not going to be a pawn in Monty's game of givin' everyone orders. Yer not the captain, and I didn't vote for ye to be a leader. I have got my own ideas on how to survive and how to protect my gold, and I don't need to be part of group number three or four that you have sole command of, working toward yer own aims.

I'm offerin' protection, I'm not offerin' to put myself in chains and be at yer beck and call like a whipped dog. You want to pull that kind of stunt, I'll be the first to toss ye overboard.

And I promised 10 gold for my own protection, not another's.
And the protection was there. You changed the price after the work had already been accomplished. Changing the order to leave your sorry butt flappin' in the breeze was my only option, if I have any self-respect. Your lying carcass is nothin' but shark food to me.

And if my ship mates don't agree, I be takin' matters into me own hands tonight. And I'll be personally buyin' off your protection so nobody will be there to watch you squeal except me and my honest mates.
