Reinvent the British and you get a global finance center, edible food and better service. Reinvent the French and you may just get more Germans.

Well that's good to know.
I do like the look of the Revered Dragons; they look amphibious to me.

I didn't get this impression, but then I play Skyrim from a roleplaying perspective, so my characters consider Harkon's offer based on their dispositions and desires; my Mabrigash seeks power, and pure vampiric blood was another means of exerting her will over Tamriel, whereas I have a Breton who seeks vengeance against the Volkihar for killing her fellow priestesses and leaving her as a vampire (well, I'm levelling for Necromage before I turn her, but still...), thus she wouldn't accept the offer of becoming a Vampire Lord and would probably hack Harkon's head off if not for the sheer number of vampires in the room.
From what I understand, the only reason to join the Volkihar is for the narrative/roleplaying prospects and some jewellery items that improve your vampiric combat; if you're joining them solely to be a Vampire Lord, you can actually side with the Dawnguard and become VL at the conclusion of the DLC's main questline anyway, but you'll get access to the Dawnguard's advanced crossbows, undead-slaying spells and the like too.

Damn. Dawnguard sounds really fun. I wish the PC version will come soon.

Are you talking about the Orsimer? They've always had the most interesting history and society to me, but the game doesn't delve into it at all other than the Malacash quest. Also, where do you find the Forgemaster's fingers? The game doesn't give me an objective marker.
The Forgemaster's Fingers are radiant and, as far as I know, can be found before you're tasked to do so, much like Meridia's Beacon or the books for the Arcaneum. When you press the button/key to "show on map", does it point anywhere?
An alternate way into the Orc Strongholds is to befriend an Orc in one of the cities (Markarth is a good place to go) or complete the Malacath quest.
I certainly think they're one of the interesting races on Tamriel, definitely up there with the Dwemer. :3

There is, he's just diseased and not at all a specimen that reflects the normal physical traits of that people. I forget his name, but he's in morrowind. He's immortal because of a disease called corprus(sp?). But all we know of their disappearance is that they all left at the same time, not necessarily died. The guy who was left behind was only left because he was exploring some other plane of existence, so we can assume it had something to do with the plane(t)s. sorry for geeking out, I've read every in game book...
Lol beat me to it.
The last Dwemer is Yagrum Bagarn. Sadly he knows next to nothing about what happened to his folks.
His friend Divayth Fyr wears a full set of Daedric armour though, which was a rarity in Morrowind.
The horizon is nothing save the limit of our sight.
He's also probably dead now. Given what happened to Morrowind.......

Just to point out on this thread that Skyrim is on sale on Steam for a bit less than $30.

When is dawnguard coming out for ps3? I've looked around and can't even find an acknowledgment that there isn't a release date yet.
Still waiting for GOTY edition.

So I played through three dungeons. Not so bad, actually not bad at all. Draugrs seem just like normal warriors to me. The spiders are annoying because of their venom but otherwise theyre no problem at all.
Thoughgiants. Seriously. One minute Im on my way to Windhelm and the next Im flying through the air.
Also the Dance of Death mod is amazing. Such awesome kill moves.

How're you dealing with the spiders? I used to be able to face them, but now when I find one is chasing me, especially in the swamps and forests, I just run away. Even the way they sound haunts my every in-game moment. As for the giants, agreed.
One of them caused my first death, I was just exploring a mountain after doing the dragon stone quest, and came across a camp with what looked like another bandit (I was far above him). So I fired my bow at him, expecting to at least be able to hurt him, when I saw that not only did my attack do nothing, but it was a giant coming after me, I decided to charge in there with my great sword... Bad idea. I've never been able to find that particular camp for vengeance.

You can use rock outcrops in a similar way. Plonk a cpl arrows into a giant while standing on top; the giant will eventually find a way to get to you, but all you have to do is jump down and keep shooting. It gets to be a confusing mess if you get multiple giants and a mammoth or two :)
You can find a suitable place in or near to every giant camp.

Also, remember that poisons, when applied to arrows and weapons of yours, are your friends, especially paralysis and, when undetected, frenzy poisons.
Dawnguard was released for the PC today, but I hear its having big problems so Im going to wait.

First trailer for next Skyrim DLC, Dragonborn.
Apparently we're going back to Solesthime (spl?).
Eager to see familiar sights.
Pretty awesome.
The horizon is nothing save the limit of our sight.
I want that little chant at the end for my ringtone.
The horizon is nothing save the limit of our sight.
I kept the part where the guy says "Dragonborn". If I started at the chanting, the sound of the drum carries over and sounds clipped, making it sound weird.
I'm such a derp with attachments, so I just uploaded it to MediaFire.
