Hello EB players, it's been a while since I last posted here, been lurking occasionally though. I hope you guys have been doing well.
What brings me back here is of a somewhat pragmatic character coupled with a genuine interest in a certain subject. I was wondering you history buffs could enlighten me on Roman Britain, in particular;
What was life like during Roman rule in Britain?
What long and short term effects did the Roman conquest have on Britain?
The thing is I think I got the main gist down, what with the latin loanwords, increased security during Roman rule, a decreased importance (total?) of tribal identity which gave way to a more unified identity, and of course more obvious things like durr Hadrians Wall durr.
This is for a very very pseudo-acadamic assignment in English Class (English as second language, high school). Hopefully I'm not coming across as someone who wants the internet to make my work for me, just looking for alternative ways of finding information/hear what you folks have to say.
