Moving onto the topic, I think we probably just don't see these things more because they don't make for especially effective marketing. It's not that CA is afraid of people seeing them, but because they have limited capacity to advertise, it makes sense for CA to focus on things that will increase sales the most. Here of course I'm assuming that most buyers don't really care that much about seeing a detailed campaign map.

1. "Rome II resembles the preview content of all the other games. " But at this point - 4 months out - it does not.
2. "I think we probably just don't see these things more because they don't make for especially effective marketing." I think you are wrong. Ancient naval battles on a tactical level would make great marketing.
