Ah, according to noaa.gov, the water temp was 39 degrees in the area I went swimming. Sweet.

Was that 39 degrees before or after you peed in it?
lol, in human (f), not European (c).lol
Nah, I don't know what that is in Celcius, but it is quite cold. You stop feeling you feet really quickly and you have to move a lot to make it bearable.
Yeah, I had to move around a lot to make it bearable, but amazingly near the end I found these warm pockets of water that I could just float in. I have no idea how that works when you are in a body of water so large that moves around so much, but there were certain areas where the water had to be 10-20 degrees cooler than the rest and you could actually just float there.
Well that sucks. You should try again, but make it safe this time. Only go in water you can stand in, and learn to swim in that. That way there is no risk. Swimming is quite fun. (even for people like me who are very poor at it.)
Politics in the Frontroom? Really?

According to the government website, the footpath I used to walk to work has an average density of 4000 kg/m3. I walked 500m on that today, with an ingrowing toe nail.
