It's as complicated as it is simple, the Netherlands had a catholic south and a protestant north, devided by the rivers that run through the middle of the Netherlands. It's a long history, look up the eighty-years war. How it was devided later isn't all that important

I started watching the original Star Trek of Hulu recently. I think it is a great show. Definitely better than banana juice and couldn't be improved topped with Worcestershire sauce.
