Excellent thread.
Excellent thread.
At the end of the day politics is just trash compared to the Gospel.
I'm with HoreTore on this. Not only do we have similar laws here concerning honking and so on, we also got no info about how much honking was going on. I'm not sure he'd be fined for disturbing a religious service if he honked just once, should be easy to talk yourself out of that one. Just say you thought you saw a kid running onto the road or so, howver if you honk several times in an attempt to drown ut the entire prayer or something like that, it's a completely different matter.

I dunno. By the looks (or should I say, sound ?) of it the "disturbance" is a tacked-on charge, much like USA prosecutors are fond of doing -- throw everything at the court and see what sticks.
In any case Horetore is correct that the Scandinavians do not approve of honking for the heck of it; it's the driving equivalent of shouting "fire" in a theatre. This isn't unique to Scandinavia either (the Netherlands springs to mind).

And for what reason, because it's Sweden we once again see total self-islamisation. He wasn't just fined for honking. Dhimmi's want more. Why not go to the mosque, there you can kiss their ass really easily when they least expect it should you oh so desire to do so

Come now, you're not going to tell me that most of your rhetoric isn't taken from that site. Only reaguurders use the term "Gutmensch." How utterly droll, not to mention tiring. I would love to see a sociological study of the GeenStijl team, and its readers. I venture the hypothesis (applicable to wider Dutch populism) that we're dealing here with a case of hysterical cultural insecurity, paradoxically aimed at society's cultural elite, which has taken hold among those just outside (but on the edge) of said elite.

They also use that term in Germany. Been done by the way, average reader is 30+, higher educated, and pretty well off. Geenstijl can in fact pride themselves on having the highest educated followers in the Netherlands. Maybe you read instead of reading about it, even grannies post there and have a blast doing it. I like the writing there but I am guarantied to laugh out loud because of something someone posts
