To the fresher-faced folk on this fine vessel-

I heard a tale once set oh a couple hundred years from now, about a man called the "Neutral Avenger". He'd claim he wasn't working for anyone, naught but for himself, and be getting revenge against all the penny-pinching ungenerous folk who be disrespectful to the folk workin' fer em.

He'd deliberately not be trying to kill anyone, but make his presence known. In plain terms, he be doin' it just to give himself a plausible alibi for the evenin'.

Later, when others grew bored with his story, they'd focus elsewhere. And then, he'd strike.

But what I'm gettin' at with me ramblin' is that Sprig could have just been tryin' to attack me solo for the explicit purpose of failure. I imagine you still get some gold for the failed action. (2 gold)

That said, he's not clear. Just not recruitin' or whatnot last night.

Lissa, Barto, Auto, and Flax were the group assigned to attack Spaceman on N1.

Spaceman was in a group with me and Ice protecting you (i.e. Visor), but since you weren't attacked there's no proof that he actually maintained his commitment to the group.

Thus, we have a few possibilities, of which the most interesting are:

1. Spaceman is the Frenchman/godfather, and blocked Lissa because someone in the QT (or even another member of the same group) informed him of the plan.
2. Spaceman is the Frenchman/godfather, and Lissa is an original agent. he told her to drop out of the group, in which case she may have done nothing, stolen, or performed scans.

Something like the above could have worked with Lissa as the Frenchman, or both Lissa and Spaceman as original agents, but I think those are not very likely scenarios; if Lissa were Godfather, then she could have blocked someone else in the group to dilute any FOS, and if they were both just agents then Lissa could have just done something else and later claimed that someone else must have been the missing link.

Least likely is that all 3 French-originals were among some combination of Spaceman, Flax, Lissa, Barto, and Auto, since in that case utterly dismantling the vig group would have been easiest of all, with minimal risk of suspicion in the medium-term.

Moving on then, let's note that Lissa is known to have been involved with attacking Ironside N2. Maybe Iron was town and ran off, maybe he was 3rd-party and ran off, maybe he was 3rd-party and had some kind of automatic role-response to being attacked by Lissa - who knows. Regardless of Ironside's nature, Lissa was definitely involved in the attack.

As for N3, Lissa, Choxorn, Spaceman, and Zack were all supposed to be attacking Andres. Zack confirms this. Now, look here: Lissa, Choxorn, and Spaceman, all relatively-suspect and ostensibly together. Of course, we don't know who was really attacking Andres of these four, but...

I'm still iffy about Sprig, and I'd still like more information from him. I suppose it will be easy to test tomorrow night whether any solo killer gets revealed, though that would be a very odd mechanic if true
