The Romans were around for some time and most of the time didn't feed them to the lions. In fact eventually were Christians. I know when the Cathars were. They were slaughtered by the Catholics and that was the point.

I'm afraid that there's something of a tradition of topics meandering based on what people want rather than sticking religiously to the initial topic. Having said that the whole point was that the take is Christians have tended not to care since worrying about whether they've heard of Jesus or not slows down conquest.

You start from the premise that your sources are by themselves infallible. Where does this infallibility come from?

Really, Pan', you already know that even if you yourself find the answer to be invalid.
