Are you trying to be clever? I'm asking for historical precedence and normal practice, which is how common law and diplomacy works.

TBF, Omar's ancestors did originate in Africa. So did mine. And Trump's.

You are giving the 40% FAR too much credit my friend. Remember, roughly 1/3 of the USA holds firm to the assertiation that the Earth is less than 6000 years old, and their ranks are swelling.

From what I can tell, it seems that the United Kingdom is about to join us on the path to destruction. Bring Boris Johnson in and I all but guarantee you'll be joining us in the surreal world of WTAF... I would have thought Trump's support to be the kiss of death for his campaign, but sadly, Johnson appears poised to win out and destroy the UK to boot. Putin must be laughing his ass off.

Our only hope is that Johnson realises that flattering Trump is the way forward and for 2-6 years that is the way it has to be; whether this changes with the next President - that's going to be the determinant. Small powers have to play nice. And the UK is at best a middle power and if the UK is not prepared to pay protection money to be part of one cartel then one cost is a more pliable external face.

Boris is not an existential threat - Corbyn on the other hand...

Sort of. There is slightly more than that who take the 'creationist' stance, but the strict dating version may be less numerous. source

These figures feel grudgingly acceptable circa 1925, but glancing at global polling on the issue it appears only half the world, tops, is even nominally evolutionist, so America isn't exceptionally bad in this regard.

Today the DJIA (Dow) reached around 25000 again. Trump tweeted:

Stock Market up BIG, DOW crosses 25,000. S&P 500 over 3000. States should open up ASAP. The Transition to Greatness has started, ahead of schedule. There will be ups and downs, but next year will be one of the best ever!

Trump seems to have tweeted about 25,000 on the Dow each time it's happened, without fail.

Does he tweet about it when it goes down to 25,000?

An interesting perspective about why Trump's Twitter should be kept up:

I want President Donald Trump to stay on Twitter.

That sentence will cause a red mist to cloud many of the eyes reading it, so I will quickly add: President Trump does not have a right to be on Twitter, any more than you or I do. Nor do I think it is healthy for the country or for anyone reading his tweets for the president to remain on Twitter. And I fully understand that Trump views Twitter as an invaluable tool. He clearly loves social media, as well he should: It helped to make him president.

But social media is now also helping to unmake his presidency, and this is all to the good. Whenever he tweets, he burdens his supporters with yet more indefensible remarks, like his macho posturing about sending the National Guard into Minneapolis to shoot rioters. It might be red meat to his base, but it is also a constant jolt of energy to the people who have decided he must be voted out of office.
I actually agree with this. However, I think it would be absolutely hilarious if the day Trump leaves office he got kicked off Twitter.
