I think that HK is probably the towniest person in the thread rn (watch him be wolf on me lol).
Looking back I still like Lewwyn, his earlist activity looks more null to me now than earlier, but still good. There's a lot of stuff from him in the mid-100s that I like
I have concerns about GG but it might be that they just enjoy vibing with the thread more. I don't like the two posts they had addressing Argon starting #146
I'm just gonna say no take on IK, though I think that the overview of LA's possibilities in #186 is easy to make. Lewwyn actually has a good response to that imo
I think that GG just latched onto the LA stuff and didn't do anything after that?
Tim is there any part of Dolby's Borg shield that you actively thought Dolby wouldn't do? Otherwise this is just "Dolby's scum for acting like town Dolby".
Lewwyn's towny but you knew that.
Ok I checked and GG didn't vote so they probably just forgot about the game
I have such mixed feelings about this post everytime I look at it. I focus on the "just making a 'this guy is town' isn't good" aspect of it and it's good, but the whole thing about contradiciton is super bad as a point to hold against c4.
maybe to early but I want to say that LA and Panda are anti-aligned from the vote because I think that voting Rask there would be much more natural appearing vote from Argon if he was worried about that as maf, and wouldn't push teammate!Panda up
This is a super weaksauce thing to point out, especially since it's easily explained in the posts directly before it and after it, and GG is going to have to bring their game up tomorrow. It's pointing out a banter vote which clearly isn't going to be kept
I'll ask El to give a take on it tomorrow, i do like the interconnected thing that they make in #267 to say why they think Pzelda is town
got this from El
Ok, this is a hot take, and given the plausible game state (maf probably feel that one of their own ain't going down) and assuming IK is super rusty or is newish, I think that he could afford pointing to someone else if mafia, especially since I feel that Csargo is one of the more townread than not people at that point, but he does need to explain why he thought or still thinks this.
looking at El's spurt of activity again it isn't as towny as I first thought it was seeing that the bigger posts within it tended to be non-directly game related, and the only game related thing I can point to liking is the you Pzelda tihng, but also pointing out Pzelda and Tims as town for that is basically saying that they're town for "big post that's consistent with basic facts is good"
Think Winston is good still as a vibe, but placing me in the burn pile is 100% unjustified for what I did to get there
Yeah I think that Vro is town if only for that first reads post. Vibe super hard with his scumreads (winston obviously excepted), and honestly even his more controversial TLs to me (Panda) looks good. Only thing that I don't even like about the post is El as the top town, but yeah this guy is just good.
Ok, I wish that Tims had given some specification, but #323, particularly the pzelda part, doesn't look as bad as I initially thought
Very much disagree.
ngl I think that Nanook intentionally minposted but I dont know what minposting is for this game
HK interaction with me good
For the record, HK is less tolerant about lying as town than a lot of players...I should know, he gets on my case about it often enough. And Argon was very clearly lying...which also for the record setting me up for the NK is kinda annoying Argon. I have enough problems.
not to say that I have never embraced an NK myself either, so can't be too upset
Thinks I didn't mention
I'm not townreading csargo as much as before
I like c4
I didn't like that, looking back and given his vote I guess he could have just not liked what I was saying about Rask, but I don't think that it was bad. Looking at it like that I don't really think he meant for it to be a pure dichotome as much as "Dolby should die unless Rask flips red" if that makes sense but that's not a good take
Oh yeah by the way I actually did n0 check you Tim. Just be aware of that.

Night One
---Earlier---
The four Bionics interrupted the squad of Marines busily extracting data in the command center. The latter were the victorious survivors from the teleported waves of stormtroopers in the Strike Envelope, and so absorbed were they in their privileged work that not one could know to raise an alarm. The Supralatus, glorious of status, raised a hand and in a heartbeat all the Marines dropped dead from concentrated gamma radiation.
All the halls and chambers of the complex were already dead; now they were certainly the only living humans here. But there were many more Marines still coalescing topside, who would soon enough seek to clear out the Bionic bastion. Therefore time was short, and the Bionic cell could not take the opportunity to restore the facility autonomous defense network. No matter - with planning, they would be more than enough of a match for the persistent Marine flotsam. The immediate task would have to be to sabotage the biochemical laboratories so that nothing of the highest-level Bionic technoscientific corpus fell into enemy hands. There was also the matter of the specimens...
As a higher form of being it was natural for Bionics to establish dealings with extraterrestrial life forms. Some of which could be useful in alternative, unappreciated ways. The evidence of which was arrayed in the lab ferociously before the Bionics; power failures and enemy action had breached the containment measures for the captives. And they were very agitated. Still, nothing four topline Bionics couldn't handle...
It was an exhausting fight, a very wasteful one. It was a tragedy that so much hard work had to go up in flames all of a sudden. As a fighting force such well-enhanced humans must be awesome to contemplate, but after this much expenditure of power they would have to bide their time against even the Marines for a spell.
...
Where was the second Operator?
Three followed the chilling crackles to a utility room, from whose entrance spread out a spool of carnage. All systems ready they barged in, to find a creature in the process of - consummating with - the fourth Bionic. This thing. Of all the blasphemies from Beyond that the Front had secured for its menageries, this was the most mysterious, the most difficult to handle. In spite of its quantological fetters, it must have relied on the waves of alien fury boiling themselves against the Bionic's defenses to outmaneuver him; how careless, how distasteful.
The Bionic was clearly dead, gray and shrunken, delectable enhancements spilling out of the cadaver into the bubbing, burbling form of the alien. Throughout the room emanated vapors of nauseous coruscance.
In the duration of the Bionics' faltered moment of breath, it spoke.
Unless suffering is the direct and immediate object of life, our existence must entirely fail of its aim. It is absurd to look upon the enormous amount of pain that abounds everywhere in the world, and originates in needs and necessities inseparable from life itself, as serving no purpose at all and the result of mere chance. Each separate misfortune, as it comes, seems, no doubt, to be something exceptional; but misfortune in general is the rule. I know of no greater absurdity than that propounded by most systems of philosophy in declaring evil to be negative in its character. Evil is just what is positive; it makes its own existence felt. Leibnitz is particularly concerned to defend this absurdity; and he seeks to strengthen his position by using a palpable and paltry sophism. It is the good which is negative; in other words, happiness and satisfaction always imply some desire fulfilled, some state of pain brought to an end. This explains the fact that we generally find pleasure to be not nearly so pleasant as we expected, and pain very much more painful.
The Supralatus advanced under indignant choler. Disgraceful abomination, your penalty should be instant death. In respect for your value to the cause I will allow you to submit yourself for sequestration and transportation immediately.

The violently-convulsing organism was a presence that could no longer be tolerated. Unleashed in synchrony were the plasma cannon, the gamma beam, the flamethrower, and the nanocarbon flechette; the contents of the room were fairly obliterated, including the fallen Bionic.
But somehow, the alien had burst out of the room in a snarl, leaving the Bionics bruised and splayed out on the floor. Though they quickly recovered and assumed battle posture, peace resounded as they postured fruitlessly. It had gone - or else was lurking.
Oh shit, muttered the Infiltrator. Was it supposed to be able to talk?
The Supralatus lowered his head. It would seem ― it would seem that it has been rebuilding itself by assimilating bionics and other modifications. After all, he gestured, there were plenty of fallen Bionics here to take advantage of before we arrived.
The gravelly-voiced surviving Operator began to grasp the situation. Oh. That sounds bad. There are many hundreds of dead Bionics choking the zone, and this facility...
Yes, there's no telling how powerful it can become if allowed to roam. The only bright side is that I believe it needs living Bionics to achieve the most significant upgrades. A dead Bionic should be only a respite for the beast. So it will hunt us, because it can, but activated as we are even a single further loss would be a stigma. No less a catastrophe.
Upon further regretful consideration, the Supralatus came to a decision.
The next step is to destroy every Bionic corpse we can find, and infiltrate the incoming Marines - yes, for our own security. We'll have to kill two birds with one stone. Our assignment just got a lot more difficult.
As they camped in the cafeteria, the Marines had established networked sentinels throughout the section, one in the kitchens. Sandbagged behind the contents of the freezers, Lieutenant c4e5g3d5 watched over his team.
Unfortunately, there was nothing he could do to presage the barrage of plasma that killed or wounded all his troops. In fact this position just funneled the heat of the plasma inward, magnifying the effect: a death trap.
Leaping out for new cover, c4e5g3d5 ascertained the attackers position, just a single Bionic. Contact! Reinforce immediately! he screamed into c4e5g3d5's commslink - but it was being jammed, unbeknownst to him.
There wasn't much more he could do than duck the constant fresh incoming plasma. The Bionic started with an advantage, and now its superior speed and firepower could not be overcome. c4e5g3d5 knew he had only one chance, not to save himself but to protect his comrades.
Breaking his strafe around the kitchen to charge the Bionic, he rolled and dodged as he could but his armor was beginning to melt into his skin. With a defiant cry he leaped out from behind an island and began pumping concentrated EM right into the borg's trunk. The Bionic's plasma was already discharging.
Ultimately, the Bionic could absorb more laser than the Marine could plasma. After the laser ceased, only char and ash rained down.
Objective achieved for the night.
The cratered remains of the Marines baked on the steel floor.
sksksksksksksksksksksksksskkkkk
With a twirl the Bionic extended his sensors and prepared to face reinforcements. But none came. The graphical interface fluttered with anomalies.
skskskskskskskskskskskskssssss
Backing into the center of the room, the Operator smoothly rotated in circles about his heels, observing with forward optics. A thickening miasma clung to the air. This could only be...
And I oop-

It had been foolish to send an Operator alone, given the circumstances, even to ambush a handful of unmods. What subterrene horror had been unleashed a day ago?

Concern strained the Major's face.
Sergeant Visor has reported that one of our observational posts in the kitchens has been wiped out overnight. Even worse - better? - we found bionic detritus around the site.
So does that mean our brothers valiantly gave their lives and took down opps with them? the Sergeant bravely offered.
No. If only that were the case. But we examined what survived of the bodycam footage from the fallen, and there was action after the last Marine had died. We found - this.
Major Montmorency projected an image for public view. Gasps and shudders reverberated throughout the echelon.
A deformed - or maybe unformed - entity unlike any their eyes had beheld, seizing the Bionic. It was difficult to make out much detail, and almost as difficult to look at the image for any length of time. The Major flicked to the next image, with only the Bionic's arm visible. What it had of original flesh appeared unnaturally brittle and gray. Was that an artifact of the low-light conditions?
There isn't much else to show you, went the Major's intonation. Most of the altercation took place outside the view from the bodies, er, body cams. Today the only sign of that Bionic was - the Major held up a large and rugose hunk of fused metal. Even a 2000-kg bomb wouldn't be able to meld the alloys and ceramics used in biomods that way. This... alien, wolf, monster, thing, this
Alien Werewolf,
is loose in the facility, and somehow I doubt it's just hunting Bionics. If that's what it can do to a modified human that just wasted a team of elite Marines, then we must double our vigilance. Our assignment just got a lot more difficult.
With that the Marines formed up to push on. Next stop was the dormitory.

C4 towned it up too, there's a reason they're dead. Lets figure that out, and go kill more wolves.
also, if you're the person who shot tim STFU about it. Bask in your glory at the end of the game
Think it's possible that Tims was forcing interaction with Nanook. I think he's highlighted basically every post from Nanook in the thread that I remember
There's only a few things in here, post 90, that I'm willing to give a semi confident take on
Csargo maybe townier for hopping on with Rask's apparently serious Csargo push
Push on Lewwyn makes him townier to me, particularly for those reasons makes him townier to me
Yeah I think I still want to say Lewwyn town from the dyanamics of the personal interaction. There's a few other posts that I think look good between them
You might notice that I don't have a take on this, and yeah I don't have one lol
Again, pretty weak but still wants me to lean in the town direction for Csargo. I should note that I can't really put Csargo above the lowest spot in my TLs
This can quite easily be a pocket, there's a good chance it is, but I can quote stuff for this if you wish, but El's stuff yesterday doesn't look the best to me now, particularly wrt his dismissal of Vro. I think I just gave one of his posts a "ok it's internally consistent and big" and left it at that. El can def work up from here though.
He had two concrete reads, so this seems more like a pocket to me from how he's heroing El than w/w?
Look ma I'm town. Also he was very blatently annoyed at my wagon slipping away from him imo
Saw some winston posts in connection and want to review how he got on Rask later
Yeah Vro's just town
LA is a paragon of towniness but for real this time
could be performative but Lewwyn still town to me
This is an odd post for the reason that I think that town Tims recognizes the bond between paragon and bestower, and him using it as an opportunity to shade LA looks good to him for me, despite LA not being in danger here
Again I'm town, also I think he's setting up push Rask voters tomorrow which tells me that the majority of them are town
might have gone to far earlier, but idk I think that Tims is safe to just dismiss LA as null if he's a teammate rather than calling his defense of me weird?
yeah I think that the Rask wagon was majority town
tl;dr
Rask wagon is probably majority town, major influences on it being a thing are probably town
Tims I think did want me dead, though is probably not as salty about it as I portrayed in the above post
Lewwyn and Vro towny
Csargo and LA slightly towny
El might have been a pocket, idk, but the way that Tims went after Vro's activity in contrast makes me think Vro is town
Kinda paranoid about HK from early game interactions ngl but I still think that he's towny from yesterday
I think Tims was trying to force interaction with Nanook, I cannot tell you why he'd do so, but just based on the relative volumes of Tims posts addressing Nanook and Nanook's actual post volume I think he addressed him a lot
Oh man that's great. I mourn you c4 you will be missed. I guess Tim really is up to nothin now.![]()
Tim is smart enough not to rule of anything spew his pack. That said, I will be reading his posts today, and C4 to see both what Tim may be spewing (I see you Dolby and I like your thinking. Not sold but like it), and what C4 was killed for.
SO I'm pretty town on Dolby and HK.
Csargo, I've had fairly good vibes from. The Tim kill actually makes me think borg is more towny.
Zelda is the one I'm least sure of on the Rask lynch.
Winston I felt more scummy, but then more towny through the day. I'm curious about the Zelda vote could use a little more discussion about that.
Still lean scum from day 1 on Panda still stands.
I was okay with Vro's entrance into the game, but put off by El's.
I also have not had good vibes from Ibn, particularly when he votes 12 hours out because he wants to see the tiebreak. Of note Tim ended up voting with him on Borg, but I can't say that makes him more or less suspicious.
Nanook I basically have no read yet.
Laurentus still hasn't posted.
Gnome, why didn't vote?
Ha poor Tim. I guess someone picked up on my repeated hints that Tim was mafia
Told you guys tim should die with fire lol
