Cause I like to see the tie mechanic..

Claiming a role on D1 is not good for the town.

If he is a regular townie and he claims a role like that he might clear mafia from suspicion as the game progresses. Bad for the town.
If he actually is a Cop like he claimed he just made himself a target for the mafia. Bad for the Town.
If he is mafia claiming to be a Cop and the town actually believes him then he could clear another mafia. Bad for the Town again.

I haven't played mafia with him before unlike some of you so perhaps this is what he does usually in games...

So, I checked the Tally from the last day..
I think the bandwagon on Rask was all townies. If the mafia was smart they'll just let it happen and vote for someone else so they wouldn't be connected to the Rask lynching.

This is the tally from D1. Btw, it seems Monty didn't remove Tims vote on Dolby after he had voted for Borg. I got confused for a second seeing Tim voting twice..


I think the other mafia could be one of these: Vroendal, Nanook, El-A or Winston

Unfortunatelly I don't have the "he played wolf in the last game this way so he must be wolf in this game as well" meta that a lot of you use. I haven't played mafia for almost 7 years and the only person I have played with is Csargo I think but even then it was long time ago.

Why Vroendal? Cause if he ends up being mafia then Winston is more likely a townie. Also, cause Tim voted Borg I like to believe he is not mafia either.

Everybody who have voted Dolby have been killed or voted off.
On day 1 El-A and Nanook voted for him and next day El-A gets pushed and voted off.
On day 2 Nanook and Gnome vote for him and there is a push against Gnome on next day.
Day 3 and Nanook, Panda and Laurentus vote for him.
Night 3 and Panda and Nanook end up dead.
Perhaps I'm reading too much into it but I think Dolby should be voted off..

the obvs answer is that the active players aren't suspecting the SK of being the SK (or a wolf) whereas the low posters were, but that's also the path of wifom and ruin so eh?
I'm not sure finding the SK is super important as of yet, I'd rather find and chop wolves.

IK's case on Dolby seems:

i) believable, in that there is a coherent villain-hunting thought process going on

ii) plausible, in that it presents evidence that does look bad for Dolby

Sure, that makes sense. Except that we have one dead scum, no dead SK, and a shitload of dead townies. So trying to determine what wolves think of the SK and vice versa is functionally impossible. As soon as we hit another wolf it becomes a lot clearer I think.

If you're talking about Mario, I don't think the first part is true. He almost immediately dropped the bit in Mario, but he also almost immediately died D1 in that game.

My inclination would be to say the two maf are IK and Csargo

I’ll look at posts that weren’t D3/D4 in the morning. Both of these are default reads but they’re all I really have left

Hard to reconcile that when IK has that “not Rask, maybe Csargo” post on D1

Others voted for Rask because "he played like this in some other game and was mafia" meta but I didn't see anything wrong with his posts. Also, it was D1 after all.
