Why do you think Zack's only partner is Benneh btw?

off the top of my head:

- his interactions with sunbae don’t seem like they’re on the same page to me

- i doubt you’d keep pushing him as w/w

- he’s going pretty hard at monty when i’m not sure he’d need to yet

- he’s been wolf reading barto consistently since the start of the game

it’s possible he’s bussing one of mont/bart but at least according to visor he’s not much of a busser as wolf so i dunno

He's not an aggressive busser, I agree, but I am moderately sure I remember he has the ability to bus if he deems it necessary.

he was my main pusher D1 besides rask and although he did waver on it late D1 w!me wouldn’t risk him coming back to the read

i would much rather try my luck with rask tunneling me because he had less thread pull particularly with zack/benneh and i don’t think he was as town read

I think I've decided that I'm just going to ignore the n1 kill and subsequent responses wrt Hally's alignment and make my decision elsewhere. I think Hally's responses at the start of today are weird, but I've been trying to swap pov's and ask "is this how I respond when I kill someone that's been tunneling me and try to get out in front of it" as well as "is this how I respond as town when someone that tunneled me died and I have no idea why and just kind of panic about it being a frame job". I can see both and, frankly, this is just the levely portion that I think just gets me in trouble more often than I'd prefer.

I'm going to take a step back and ask myself "is hally trying to solve peoples alignments or not" That's it. It's simple and it doesn't need to be more complicated. Does Hally give a damn about being correct or is it just words for the sake of words.

I currently think the answer is "I think so"? They've clearly spent a lot of time on me and gone back and forth on the answer there. They've gone back and forth with Vulgard. They've poked at Barto, talked about Rask, and came into today skeptical about Neb (side note: I'd like to hear more about that wolf read). I also think they've been more proactive than reactive wrt poking/prodding in different directions and seem to be coming up with their own thoughts rather than piggybacking others.

I'm not locked in there and I know I'll disappointedCelticsFandotjpg myself if I get away from there again and end up being wrong, but right this second that's where my head is at.

but wolves can’t NK themselves so he would be alive regardless of whether he’s a villager who wolves leave alive to tunnel me or a wolf who’s decided to hard push me, and it would be annoying either way

me mentally preparing myself to be annoyed at him has nothing to do with his alignment (though again, i thought he was a villager during the night)

the point is i really didn’t expect him to die

fmpov i find it hard to believe the suspicion on me has been pure

i?ve been active and made myself pretty findable here imo yet seemingly everyone has wolf read me at one point or another

first zack pushed me, then sunbae, then rask, then vul, then benneh and now monty is randomly voting me (ender i?m not counting because his vote on me doesn?t seem real)

feels like at least one wolf has capitalized on v!sunbae?s incorrect push to reinforce the suspicion on me because i honestly don?t get how this many villagers can?t find me here, but maybe it?s wishful thinking

the villagers voting me really have to do better though

side note, if this list of 7 people (including ender) are the villagers im gonna call this the funniest post I've seen in a werewolf game.

Like, the sheer audacity of listing 7 people voting them in a 9er, saying "at least one wolf has capitalized on this", and then telling them all to do better as a wolf is just absolutely peak comedy if it's all villagers

Ok, I understand. I was squinting at whether it was a slip but I don't think it is. Your answer makes sense. I know I've pestered you a lot this game, just trying to do my best. I know it can't be pleasant to be on the receiving end of when it's like every post you make gets scrutinized.

I don't think I'm wrong about Sunbae. I should probably review this but I'm unreasonably confident in Sunbae flipping town.

re: benneh, i don’t know if i’d call it a wolf read really but i’ll walk through my thought process anyway

i think the rask kill makes sense for a team that wasn’t really threatened D1 and can afford to kill someone just to cast me in a negative light and continue the incorrect status quo. rask wasn’t really pushing anyone besides me so he wasn’t an active threat to any wolves D1 readswise. he also wasn’t that townread and didn’t have really any thread pull so i don’t think he was positioned as a likely NK. maybe i’m missing something but from my perspective as a villager the only motivation i can really see for N1ing rask is making me look bad.

but it’s not like i wouldn’t still be suspected if wolves make a more conventional SPK in zack/benneh/sunbae and left rask alive to keep tunneling me. wolves didn’t do that though, they killed outside a trio of strong players who had largely found each other D1. i think that probably doesn’t happen if all three of them are villagers, right? wouldn’t any combination of barto/mont/ender just kill whichever of zack/benneh/sunbae is most threatening to them to break up that trio?

so i think the rask kill points to that trio not being pure. but even if it’s not pure the wolf(s) in that group can still kill into, so i don’t know why they didn’t. maybe because the villagers in the trio were wrong D1 and the wolf(s) didn’t feel threatened by them? maybe because the wolf(s) didn’t want to kill into it because then they stick out when they don’t die? i don’t really know.

but basically, i thought there being a wolf in the normal SPKs could explain why wolves didn’t kill into that group and why they felt unthreatened enough to do a frame kill in rask. i think sunbae is implicated less because he had a fair amount of suspicion on him D1 and was also wrong on me/vulgard so it makes sense to leave him alive. and of zack/benneh, i think benneh is less villagery? his posts sound fine to me but on a macro level i feel like his D1 was very low impact and he didn’t really stick his neck out for any reads and just kinda let stuff happen which makes sense coming from a wolf in a thread where villagers (me/vul/sunbae) were the main ones getting heat largely driven by other villagers.

so that’s how the thought came to be. keep in mind this was really just a snap thought in response to the kill combined with some paranoia overnight that i gave benneh a pass too easily and i’m trying to put it into words / flesh it out to see if it makes sense. i’m not exactly sure it does because i do kinda believe benneh when he says he would just kill one of me/sunbae/zack, buuuut what if it’s benneh/zack and they think they can kill rask and then whisper sweet nothings in sunbae’s ear to get him to keep pushing me? idk honestly, i kinda think this idea was dumb and i should stop going down this rabbit hole but now i took the time to write it out so i’m just gonna post it and maybe someone will get something out of it. :tounge:
